What you are seeing looks like Tom Cruise in Minority Report, but this is a Kickstarter project known as the iMotion from Intellect Motion. That is, the things on his hands. On his eyes are the Oculus Rift, which we have reported on before.
The iMotion has a velcro strap to keep it on the hand, which reminds me of the Wiimote and the Wiistrap. Like the Wiimote, it has a gyroscope and acclerometer, which means you can do some interesting things for controlling your game.
What is even more interesting is that the iMotion promises some from haptic feedback, bringing an element of touch to the game. I don’t know how precise of a touch it will give, but you can do some moving, dragging, and grabbing.
This particular motion controller can be paired with Bluetooth, and has a range of 1-16 feet, operating at 100 frames per second. Apparently, four of these iMotion controllers can be used at once. You can get it for an early bird price of $49, or the regular price of $69.
