One of the problems with stereo speakers are they were built in a time when we actually cared about our electronics. I mean, if your TV got busted, you actually paid to repair it instead of just buying a new cheap flatscreen. As a result, most wired speakers are just better than their Bluetooth counterparts.
So if you want to connect your smartphone’s music with a pair of wired speakers, it isn’t easy. Fortunately, there are products like the Link designed to make wired speakers wireless, thanks to the power of Bluetooth.
The Link is a portable and rechargeable device that allows you to plug into the audio system’s auxiliary cable, while your mobile device is wirelessly connected. Yes, there are similar devices like it on the market, but this Kickstarter project is by no means late to the ballgame. It is good for 25 hours with a 5 hour charge time.
There is only one thing that I don’t like about this product, the video on the Kickstarter page. Yeah, I’m going to be honest about this very useful product, I can’t stand the ad! Maybe it’s purposely dumb so I will remember it, and maybe I’m doing what the ad wants just by talking about it.
When it does hit the mainstream market, it will probably be about $49.95, but you can get it for $30 on the aforementioned Kickstarter page.
