The Swich Wireless Charger

July 7, 2014 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

SwichI’ve seen a lot of wireless chargers, and they generally have the same principle. You can go the Powermat route where there is just a flat platform that you put your phone with a specially-made case. Then the other is a cord that attaches magnetically to the specially-made case like the Magnetyze. The Swich takes a wireless charger to a different level.

I realize that some of you might think I misspelled Swich, but it is without the “t”. Which means it is without “thether”. Yeah, I had a hard time thinking of a good “t-word”. As you can see, you can put the phone on this Qi-compatible stand. If you don’t know what Qi is, it is a wireless charging standard that some smartphones have.

You can place the phone on the Swich and it will stick thanks to the micro-suction surface. You can now open and use the phone as it is charging wirelessly, and you can even adjust it by spinning it on its angled stand.

Another feature that makes the Swich different is the materials. It uses some ceramic and wood in the construction, which makes it less tech-looking than most wireless chargers.

This is a Kickstarter project that has actually achieved its goals, so you should be able to get it soon. It could be a real game-changer for all wireless chargers.
