Butterfork Nakiri and Chef Knives Review

December 6, 2025 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)

Well, of course it does what it should, it is a knife, and it cuts, and it cuts good!

Yeah, bear with me, because this is the first time that I am reviewing a knife, but you know me, somebody gives me a product, so naturally, I love to write about it. And how can I not want to write about a knife, because knifes are cool.

I will start with the Nakiri knife, which is a Japanese vegtable knife that is characteized by its rectangular flat blade with straight cutting edge, made for chopping and slicing vegetables with a downward motion. You know, I really should have demonstrated that in the video, really. Oh man, whoops!

The Nakiri Knife has this cool oak sheath, and I’m told that is the first kitchen knife with replaceable handle. Apparently, the handle is easy to replace as there is this key that it comes with, something that I also forgot to talk about. Again, whoops.

You can get the Nakiri knife for about $73.32 on the Butterfork company site, and if you’re lucky, you can get it for the $54.99 lower price.

And then there is the Chef’s knife, which I checked on a definition. It is a versatile, essential knife with slightly curved blade about 8-10 inches long used for chopping, slicing, mincing, and dicing both vegetables and meats. Again, I should have demonstrated that, so another Whoops on me!

I did demonstrated that on some clamshell packaging, which is some seriously hard thing. This knife also has a replaceable handle, specially polished spine, and an optimal balance.

So yeah, it’s all good! If you want this, head on over to the Butterfork site and pay $59.99 for it, maybe you’ll get lucky with the $44.99 price I’m seeing now.

Facts About The Company

This is a company that is into great craftsmanship, as well as minimalist design. You got to love that, and I like the natural look of the sheaths with the wood and all.

What Does This Company Make?

I’m seeing a whole bunch of knives out on the company website. Yes, I just made a Knives out reference, so sue me.

Okay, Get To The Unboxing Already!

Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?

I’ve reviewed very little other knives in the past, in fact, none. Maybe I’ll review some more?
