Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)
Well, I finally got all that stuff that I sent to me from Las Vegas to arrive at my doorstep. Check out that story on the last part (Part 8) of CES 2024: The Movie, but long story short, I got a lot of stuff at CES 2024 and the Typhur InstaProbe and I sent it to me, and this is the first item that I reviewed.
This is one of those times where I could make a lot of “probe” jokes, and I was tempted to say: “Relax, it’s not where we’re sticking it”. Since I like good taste, I went against it. I do like “Meet Your New Meat Thermometer”.
Yes, this InstaProbe from Typhur is meant to be a meat thermometer, and that is what I used it for. You can see me cooking some serious chicken, and the internal was 175 degrees, which is above the 165 degree safe level. Yeah, I Googled that.
You can also see the video to see the reading is on an OLED screen with a fast reading speed of less than 0.5 seconds. Apparently, there is a DCTi (Direct Contact Thermocouple Integration) technology for full contact with the target heat source.
Other features include an integrated magnet, so you can stick in on the fridge, which I really should have demonstrated on my video. I also should have tested its IP67 Waterproof capability, as well as its 180 degree rotating and motion sensing.
Facts About The Company
Apparently, Typhur is trying to do a lot with tech advancements to home kitchens, and why shouldn’t they? After all, if our phones and TVs are more advanced than ever, why shouldn’t that be in the kitchen? Well, as long as the food is really good, Typhur should keep pushing progress.
What Does This Company Make?
I mentioned something in my video how I want to review more Typhur products, and they make things called the InstaProbe, the Dome, Sous Vide Station, and the Sync. What are they? I have to find out!
