Hollyland Lark M2S Wireless Lavalier Microphone Review

April 6, 2025 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)

Okay, it is time to review a terrific microphone from Hollyland, and we really have a prize with this one. Now, the Lark M2S is one of those microphones that comes in this case that include a cool receiver that can plug into any USB-C port, which is on a lot of smartphones these days. Then there are two microphones that clip on to you, and they are synced to your phone when you want to do filming.

I had a chance to use them, and you can watch the video to see how I messed it up…at first. You see, when you put on the microphone, you have to put it so the logo is facing away from the audience, and pressed up against your chest. Seriously, that seemed counter-intuitive, and I did a few videos where the sound was off, and I have a blooper reel of all the audio outtakes. I eventually did them correctly, and now I have great sound every time.

The mics weigh-in at just 7 grams, and they clip in very securely, and they also come with a connector/receiver for the iPhone Lightning connectors. Now, there is this cool camera transmitter that I really couldn’t figure out how to work, but that is because I don’t have a DSLR that I could test it on.

I also didn’t know that is apparently an app for some control on the mic, which has a range of 300 meters, which I can’t really believe is so far. Here’s some pretty important specs, like 30 hours of battery life, 9 hours of working time, up to 2.5 hours on a full charge, and less than 1.5 hours charging time.

If you want it, you can get on the Hollyland site for about $159.00.

Facts About The Company

Here’s what the official website says:

Since 2013, the brand has grown to be recognized as a leading provider of premium wireless products. Hollyland designs, develops, manufactures, and distributes a wide range of high-performance wireless solutions. The product portfolio includes video transmission systems, cameras, monitors, wireless microphones, and wireless intercom systems that feature a compact design, high quality, reliable performance, and affordability.

They definitely make products that someone like me, a content creator would be interested in.

What Does This Company Make?

I have actually reviewed these products once before, and it was also a microphone. It was the Lark C1, and it was pretty similar to this Lark M2S.

Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?

I’ve already mentioned the Lark C1, and I talked about the NEEWER KM18 in the video. Well, I didn’t talk about it, but they are the ones that I usually use. There is also the Sabinetek Smartmike+, which I have also used in the past.
