Most of you video content creators know that audio is important, and I will have to admit that some of my videos don’t really have good audio. Part of it is “the room where it happens”, and using something as simple as Bluetooth earbuds as a microphone. Here is a microphone that is made for people like me with the Lark C1 from HollyLand.
I have to admit that I really enjoy how it works. All you need to do is just plug it in to charge it, and I found it hard to believe how cool the set-up is. I mean, it is a single charging case where the hub and two mics charge up. Then, once fully charged, you just plug the mic hub into your phone, and then use the individual mics.
Though I haven’t tested this, I have learned that the mics are capable of last about 32 hours. The individual mics have indicator lights to show when the battery is getting low.
Speaking of indicators, there are lights on the hub to show if the mics are connected wirelessly. By the way, there is an app with a signal with volume bars and everything.
Unfortunately, I do have to admit that the actual audio might be something to be desired. In my video, I show some footage taken from CES 2023, which I did with with my Sabinetek Smartmics, which are Bluetooth-powered mics done with the Smartmike app. Then I have a recording of some nice ladies at the ZoopLoop, and I think I can say objectively that the recording isn’t as good. Then again, I’ve got some problems with audio overall with my CES recordings.
You can find out more information on the Hollyland website here, and you should be able to get them for a decent price of $179.00.
