Well, it is time to review another product from Monster, and this time it is the PowerCard. I will be quick and honest with my review.
The PowerCard is a Mobile Portable Battery, and it is a product that I have reviewed many a time. I am going to have to say that this version is different because it is smaller and very convenient.
The PowerCard is about the thickness of a small stack of credit cards, so it could fit in a wallet. I’m guessing that it could fit in the Trooper from UAG that I reviewed last week. There is a USB 1.5 Amp quick charge for output charging, and it has 1.650 mAh Li-Polymer battery.
So, that is the product, and I need to continue my thoughts about the Monster Awards at CES 2016. For starters, my wife and I were told that seating begins at 7:30, so you would think it would begin at 8:00 or 8:30, right? Nope. Try after 9:00 PM. Then we had to wait through the awards, which was like all the boring parts of the Academy Awards times 10. By the way, there were terrible mistakes on the PowerPoint, putting Calgary in China.
Then Magic Johnson came out to host it, and he had a Xeroxed copy of his notes, with the page hanging there. Like someone handed him this script on the way in. We then had to wait for a performance by Ne-Yo, and it didn’t look like he wanted to be there, to the point where the hosts were asking him to stay.
When Rick Ross was supposed to come out, he didn’t. However, there was music playing, then there was “technical difficulties” followed and then Rick Ross came on.
Eventually, they got to the Jacksons. They brought down the house, man I was glad. I shouldn’t complain about the performance, as it was free. And hey, I get to say that I saw Magic Johnson and the Jacksons live. Not bad.
Monster’s products are also not bad. Here is the site where you can find it, for about an MSRP price of $39.95 on the Monster Site.
