InCase Review: The Slim Case (iPhone 16) and the Halo Case (iPhone 16 Plus)

February 2, 2025 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)

While I was at CES, I had the chance to stop by and see Incase. This is a company that has quite a great history, but I will get to that. For now, I want to talk about the cases that I had the opportunity to review, all two of them.

Our Review of the Incase Slim Case for the iPhone 15

In the video, I talked about how smooth the Incase case is, and I just found out that apparently the design is based on original Macbook hardshell in the mobile case. Whatever it is, it certainly is made well, and made to last.

I am told that it has 8 feet of drop protection, which might not sound like a lot, as many other cases can do more. However, how much drop protection do you need? The Incase has 2mm thickness, and it also has antimicrobial protection.

The other features are thrown in and fantastic. For example, it has MagSafe compatibility, tonal press-fit buttons, and raised screen protection. Oh, I forgot to say that it is made with sustainable materials. You can purchase this on the Incase site for $39.99.

The Halo Case is a little different than the Slim. You can notice in the video how it looks so very different than most cases, how it has a marble look, and this color is known as “Oil Slick Smoke”.

The Halo Case is made with a “unique hydro dip submersion technique”. I’m not certain what that means, but it has 10 feet of drop protection. There is also a dedicated lanyard loop, as well as MagSafe compatibility and antimicrobial protection.

So, I have to admit that the Halo Case has a lot more features. You should be able to purchase the Halo Case for about $49.99 on the Incase site.

Facts About The Company

According to company website, Incase is brand driven by design. That makes a lot of sense, and they design solution centered on protection and mobility to meet the evolving demands of today’s creatives. They have principles of good design, teh ecosystem of bags and accessories we curate transcend both age and demographics.

I kind of have a history with this company. I believe that I first encountered it as Incipio at CES over a decade ago. Actually, Incipio still exists, and the company of Incase was acquired by Incipio in 2015.

What Does This Company Make?

Now, you might look at this company and just think “cases”. They do have them for both the new iPhone and the brand new Galaxy S25.

I definitely think the specialty of Incase is bags, as they have all kinds, such as backpacks and such. Incase also has plenty of products designed for Microsoft products, and there are also combos of each.

Just the Specs, Man

If you’re the type that needs this info, this section is for you!

I went over this in discussing the features, and don’t think I need to write more.

If there is something on this that I didn’t cover, please let me know.

Okay, Get To The Unboxing Already!

Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?

Well, since these are cases, we certainly have a lot to compare them to. I think that these particular ones from Incase are comparable to the best cases out there, and they have a good low price to match.
