Smartish Review, Part 5: Wallflower, Mountaineer Car Mount, Quickstand, Gripzilla, and Gripmunk

November 2, 2025 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)

Like you can see in the title, this is the fourth part of this review. Normally, when you see a number, it usually means the one before it is pretty recent. In this case, it’s been quite a while since we reviewed any Smartish products. This time, we got quite a few.

Our Review of the Smartish Wallflower with MagSafe

The Wallflower is one of the more unique products that I have reviewed, as it has the power to lock onto your phone if it is MagSafe enabled, and then you can lock it on to something else.

By that, you can use the suction cup mode. You can see in the video that I didn’t quite get it at first, but I found that I could turn it around, and then I could use the other mode. So what is that other mode? Well, it has a ring on it, which means you can take the phone by the finger.

Oh, by the way, the Wallflower can essentially open up, and if it is locked on the back of your phone, you can essentially stand your phone up. Yeah, something like that really comes in handy all the time.

If you want it, you can get it on the Smartish site for a small price of $24.99.

Our Review of the Smartish Mountaineer Car Mount

The Mountaineer Car Mount is definitely made for those that want to put their phone on their dash. Now, this isn’t one of those that will charge your phone, but hey, maybe you don’t need that and just want to look at the map.

You can mount your phone to the Car Mount thanks to the power of MagSafe, or if you have some kind of magnet of some kind, that should work. The other end of the Car Mount requires the use of some 3M type of adhesive, so you have to like that.

If this is something that you want, you can get it on the Smartish site for about $30.99.

Our Review of the Smartish Quickstand

Now this product is very simple, but very effective. Basically, all you need to do is lock it to the back of your phone, open it up, and you got something of a stand.

Yes, you have seen it before, and you’ll see it again. However, I really like how it has this piece of elastic, and then you can take your phone by the hand quite easily.

And you got to like the name, I mean, it is the QuickStand, like quicksand, get it? Yeah, I really like it, and you can get it on the Smartish site for $24.99.

Our Review of the Smartish Gripmunk with MagSafe

Next on our list of products to review from Smartish is the Gripmunk with MagSafe. It is a case that is made with camera, screen, and corner protection.

I’ve heard that it is safe to drop at 6 feet, and the reason why it is called the Gripmunk is because it is “grippy not sticky”. Oh yes, did I mention that it is compatible with MagSafe?

So, if you want to get in on this, you can get it for the iPhone 17 models. The ones that I reviewed it for was the iPhone 17, and there are many types of colors and more. The price says $24.99 on the Smartish site, but you might be able to get it for about $19.99 if you act now.

Our Review of the Smartish Gripzilla

Twice now, I have said “grippy and not sticky”. The Gripzilla is made to stay in the hand, with its finger grooves and grippy sides.

The Gripzilla case is made to be pretty hard, but it feels quite soft, honestly. I have been told that it can withstand a 6 foot fall, which matches the Gripmunk with MagSafe. Oh yes, this particular version of the Gripzilla is made for the MagSafe.

By the way, when I was talking about the Gripmunk, I mentioned that it comes in all kinds of designs rather than a solid color. The ones that I have are for the iPhone 17 Pro, I believe.

You can get this for all iPhone models like the iPhone Pro for about $44.99, marked down to $39.99 here.

Facts About The Company

This company is based out of Austin, Texas, and started in 2009. Apparently, it started with some kind of napkin doodle of a case/wallet combo. This was back before every company was making this type of product, and the person who made it thought it was “smart-ish”. That’s one heck of an origin story.

What Does This Company Make?

All kinds of smartphone accessories. That includes phone cases, charging cables, and case add-ons.

Okay, Get To The Unboxing Already!

Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?

Where else can you find smartphone accessories? How about…everywhere? Yeah, I think I mentioned CASETiFY in my video, and that company has a bit more diversity, but Smartish is catching up. There are companies like UAG and Otterbox which really makes them tough, which appears to be what they are going for. I’ve also reviewed Speck, and I’m doing a review of Supcase a week after this posts.

I have to admit that Smartish familiar prices at very low prices, and the quality is up to par.
