Most of you who read my blog know that I target church-going audiences, so it seems odd that I am reviewing a mobile breathalyzer. Just so I can make a disclaimer that I probably don’t need to make, I will say that I don’t drink. However, there isn’t anything in the Bible that forbids drinking, just drunkenness. This BACtrack mobile breathalyzer will insure that you don’t abuse a habit.
The BACtrack connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth, and I am told that it is accurate than other models of its type with its Xtend Fuel Cell Sensor. I say I am told because I honestly don’t want to go to a place full of drunk people to test it. All you need to do is blow the unit, and it gives the Blood Alcohol Content, and the app shows how long it will take before you are sober again.
What is really interesting is that on the app is some interesting drink tracker. You can even take pictures of your favorite drinks and places, and share what you are drinking on social networks.
As I said before, I don’t recommend drinking alcohol, but I will have to say that there is a technological way to keep this under control. You can get this on the BACtrack site for about $149.99.
