Newgy’s Robo-Pong would easily please Forrest Gump

May 14, 2013 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Every once in a while, I see some ad before a YouTube video or some other streaming vid and think: “now that is article-worthy”. I have no idea how Newgy’s Robo-Pong got to be an ad on the video I was watching, but I’m glad that I saw it.

I have no idea if Newgy’s Robo-Pong is really new, but it feels like something that we could have invented decades ago. After all, we have those automatic pitching machines around for years, so I don’t see why this couldn’t have been around since Forrest Gump was a ping pong champ. (Yes, I am aware that Forrest Gump is not a real person from history, but most Americans don’t know any ping-pong or table tennis champions off the top of their head.)

I suppose that one could argue that you could put up one side of the ping-pong table and just hit a ball against the wall that you just made. It might be easier than having a bunch of ping-pong balls.

Well, the Robo-Pong comes with 48 balls, and the lowest price for a model is about $199. You can see what else Newgy has here.
