Some of you might remember last year when I talked about the dancing robots at CES 2013 with Tosy. Man, was I impressed. I dropped by the Tosy booth to discover that the company abandoned the dancing robot, but they do have this, the DiscoRobo.

The Tosy Disco Robo uses beat detection technology for music and dance. It has 8 facial expressions for dancing with beatbox, drum beats, hand claps, and even footsteps, with about 56 different moves. You can even put two DiscoRobos together, and they will dance and even “talk” to each other. Of course, there is an app for it on the App Store and Google Play.

Now, if you caught the video on my blog about Tosy from last year, you might be less than impressed by what you see here. Yeah, the DiscoRobo isn’t as advanced, but it is a very cool toy. It is available right now in four colors here for about $49.99 in red, pink, blue, and purple.
