Please excuse the dumb headline, but I am going a theme for today for modular toy sets. The next posting will make this incredibly clear why I chose this theme.

The VEX IQ system is made to be a very easy-to-assemble toy that can be programmed to do all sorts of things. If that sounds similar to the Lego Mindstorms, it kind of is. I wouldn’t say that this is a rip-off, even though it includes some motors and sensor parts that look very similar to the Lego Mindstorms.

Yeah, there are a lot of similarities, and there is even a Robot Brain that you have to attach to these thick phone cables to the motors and sensors. You can then program your Robot Brain with two programs: Robotic 4.0 and Modkit for VEX.
