For some reason, I have been seeing a lot of cases for the iPhone or other phones that are designed for holding credit cards, drivers license, and even some cash.

Personally, I think it is a sign that we are moving away from wallets, and I wonder how long before the credit card and drivers license become like apps on our smartphone. Of course, I have written about this type of speculation before.
