Well, I suppose that the Olympics is the news story for the jocks, and the news that the geeks are wanting to hear is the Curiosity. This Curiosity didn’t kill no cat, but it is exploring Mars.
Like I have said before, we are living in a science-fiction age where men in space shake hands with robots and cyborgs are real. I think it is odd that the remake of Total Recall completely excludes Mars, but we seem to be focusing a lot on Mars in reality.
The image taken above was from the Mars Hand Lens Image (MAHLI), and it is not clear because of the dust on the landscape. My Source says that this is the first full-color landscape shot of the red planet, but I swear that I have seen other full color shots.
Considering that most of the shots I have seen of Mars look like Arizona, I’m sort of hoping that we could live there. Assuming that we had an atmosphere, I wouldn’t mind living there.
Yeah, are we going to Mars yet? Shots like these always make me want to go.
