This is an interesting piece of news that I caught, and it illustrates the inability for technology to be arm-and-arm with the law. It began with an accident in Connecticut, and there was a drone that hovered over it, taking pictures and/or video.
So the officers investigating the accident see this drone, and they find the man who is operating it. They ask this man a few questions, but they do not arrest him. This is where you decide whether or not the law did the right thing. Apparently, the laws are different in cases of people with cell phone cameras taking shots of the accident.
In all honesty, why aren’t drones being used at the scenes of accidents by the police already? If Amazon is going to have drones deliver packages to your door, why don’t the cops have these. They have them on Almost Human. Something tells me that the future is going to reveal a lot of cases like this.
