The other day, my daughter was noted that my smartphone and my mouse look a lot alike, and I have often moved my smartphone and wondered why my cursor didn’t move on my screen. I often wonder if it would be good to have a smartphone that is a mouse.

The Mauz makes that possible, and it uses a dongle at the end of a smartphone to make it sync to the computer. The cool part about having a smartphone as a mouse is that you can use the touchscreen to do some shortcuts.

Then there is the 3D aspect. Yes, you can use the Mauz smartphone as one of those gesture-recognizable mice.

Sadly, this is a Kickstarter project, so who knows when it will see the light of day. I think we all know there has been some good ones to come out of there, and I predict a good future for the Mauz as it won the 2013 Macworld “Best of Show”.
