It seems the market is flooded with Bluetooth speakers, and I think I know what caused that. A while ago, a rumor had started that the iPhone was going to change its traditional 30-pin connector. Well, we all know that rumor was as true as lightning.

Entering the Bluetooth Speaker business is something different from IUI Design. This is the Mirror Boombox, clearly named after its shape. Yes, it bears a strong resemblance to a side-view mirror on pretty much any sports car.

It does deliver 8W of HD stereo power, and it has about 8 hours worth of operating time. Granted, it takes 4 hours for recharge, but the sound makes up for it, believe me. I got to hear it at CES, and I was quite impressed, and I saw a lot of Bluetooth speakers there.

In addition to these features, the Mirror BoomBox also has a touch panel and voice prompting. You can pick it up at the IUI Design site here for about $149 in many colors.
