I think we all know that the mobile revolution has changed gaming forever. I would not declare console gaming dead as the Wii U and whatever Microsoft and Sony puts out could take the emphasis off Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja and put it on Mario and Halo.
I believe that the iPhone and iPad have gaming covered, and there are many gaming accessories available for that, but what about Android? Fortunately, Nyko, makers of the Charge Base S for the Xbox and the Raven for the PS3 have the PlayPad.
The PlayPad is a way to bring the console experience to any Android device that runs version 3.0 or higher. As you can see in the image, it has a dual analog stick, d-pad, four face buttons, and left and right dual shoulder/trigger buttons.
The PlayPad comes with a travel/carrying case that allows for vertical or horizontal orientation. In addition to being a great gaming accessory, the PlayPad also works with other functions like keyboard mapping, mouse emulation, and touch mapping with a flick of a switch.
You can get the PlayPad on the Nyko website for about $39.99 in white or black. It comes with a free Playground app to customize the controller layout and even download game profiles for older titles.
