I think we all know that clothing is the last place for tech, and I can see no better place for a display than a T-Shirt. A group known as CuteCircuit has designed a T-shirt OS, which is a thin digital display that connects (presumably wirelessly) to a smartphone.
This shirt is has the ability to display the videos and photos from your phone, and it can show your tweets. I suppose that there is an app for that will take on a whole new meaning as it can be emblazoned on your T-Shirt. Just imagine a T-Shirt that can change whatever is on it.
I believe that the designers are still working on the process of making these shirts a reality. I have seen displays on T-shirts before, and they are usually pretty…stiff. They obviously don’t account for breasts. I knew no better way to say that.
As far as washing the T-shirt is concerned, it should be as easy as taking out the battery.
I think we are looking at a world where the human is now the display. Just imagine looking at a crowd of people and seeing the display and advertising power of Times Square. I can’t wait until I can rent out my chest for adspace.
