As promised, here is the footage of the Penny Arcade Expo. I was lucky enough to get video footage just as the doors opened.
Yes, that is me on the back of a giant horse. The Horse’s name is Ruin, and he is part of some promo for THQ. Just imagine if one of the horses of the apocalypse was one of those mechanical bull things, and you pretty much have the picture. I don’t know how long I stayed on, to tell you the truth.
Sorry about the red effect, but the lighting wasn’t exactly quality. Just think of me as the Red Rider, but without a BB gun. Please don’t make me explain that reference.
Anyway, you can’t see it in the picture, but I have a sign taped to my back that says: “www.TheGeekChurch.com”. I’m trying to get the word out on the site as much as possible.
I’m also trying to hang with gamers as much as possible. I really feel that Christians have dissed the gamer crowd for years. Equating Role-Playing games with tools of Satan probably didn’t help much.
My advice is this: support your local gamer. Ask about what he or she is playing. Some of the video games and role-playing games are fun, and you don’t have to dress up or become fully immersed in a fantasy character if you don’t want to.
Okay, enough preaching to the choir. I’ve got to get back to PAX.
