You can see by the unnecessarily drawn-out title of this game that it is just so full of awesome. At least, it is trying to be, but I will have to be the judge of whether or not it succeeds with this review.
The issue is that The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing Final Cut is actually a trilogy of 10 hour campaigns with various multiplayer modes, and it has sold over 1 million copies worldwide. This is all of that game squished into one with even more, and to say that this game is ambitious is an understatement.
Let’s put it this way, the way the game begins shows Van Helsing, who is apparently some descendant of that famous vampire hunter that is mentioned in Dracula. Now, at the beginning, there is a lot of set-up for this story, which includes how Van Helsing has a ghost companion named Katarina. There is this line at the beginning that describes a travel as follows: “Apart from the Kraken, the pirates, and the storm, it was uneventful.”
Yeah, I don’t know what kind of world you live in Mr. Van Helsing, but you have the life. Man, living in this steampunk gothic world full of cool-looking stuff, fighting monsters and stuff. The action feels like an MMORPG game, and I found that it took a while to load on my computer, and there was a lot of clicking to kill things to get places.
The game is one where you can chose a playable class, and there is that Katarina ghost that fights with you. There is an interesting multiplayer mode as well, and there really is a lot to do in this game. You should be able to purchase the game on the Steam Store for a limited rebate price for $35.99.
