I seem to remember that I reported on how the Age of Music Gaming came to a close with the end of Music Hero downloads. I suppose that I didn’t mention Rock Band, which I found quite interesting 6 years ago. Yeah, click on that last link to take yourself back. I know I did.

Just to let you know, the last release of Rock Band was back in 2012. Apparently, three years is enough time for a comeback and there will be a Rock Band 4 coming to the Xbox One and Sony PlayStation 4. The Developer Harmonix and Mad Catz plans to have have Rock Band 4 out by Christmas.

So, if you have any old instruments from the Rock Band era of gaming, they should still work. I don’t have any word on who is going to be on the Rock Band 4 game/album, but hey, I would imagine we’ll be seeing one of those huge boxes full of instruments quite soon. Let’s see, I think there was that guitar, drums, microphone, and the keytar for Rock Band 3.
