I have reviewed the Armpocket before, and I was glad to get a chance to try out the Nighthawk for myself.
Armpocket makes products that I have seen before. Most recently, I have reviewed the Tunebelt. There is no point in trying to say whether someone is ripping another company off. I suppose that all of us want to put our phone on our arm when we are jogging.
The Nighthawk is unique because it has lights. In all honesty, I don’t know why someone hasn’t made a product like this before, and who knows, they probably have. There are a lot of people who like to run with a smartphone on their arm, and some do it at night. The Nighthawk has lights to illuminate your way and signal to others that you are there.
There are white lights on one side, and red lights on the other. These lights can be made to blink repeatedly if you wish, and the batteries are included. All in all, it is a necessary addition to the smartphone armband market.
The Nighthawk can accomodate many types of smartphones including the iPhone 4/4S, iPhone 5, the HTC Evo 4G, and Droid RAZR Maxx. It is available for purchase on the Armpocket site for about $49.95.
