I’ve been in touch with Monster a lot lately, and after attending their press conference at CES 2016 as well as their awards ceremony (which I’ll detail at some other time), I have just been given the chance to try out the Selfie Case.
It’s pretty clear that we live in a selfie-obsessed society, as I have a daughter who takes at least a few per day. I don’t think it is a sign that we are too narcissistic. For those that don’t want to hold their phone, they can always stick it someplace, due to the Selfie Case.
There is some special material that allows you to mount the smartphone to glass, mirror, acrylic, marble, and other such flat surfaces. It uses a lot of suction cups to hold it there. So all you got to do is just put it on some surface like a mirror, set the camera on a few seconds of timer and smile.
Now you can get rid of those selfie sticks, if you desire. Speaking of selfies, I’ll show you this one that I took, and it was at Monster’s awards. It is about time that I brought this up.
My wife and I were there, and it was Magic Johnson, the legendary basketball player, who told me to take this. Beyond that, and a performance by the Jacksons (all the Jackson 5 minus Michael), the show was a trainwreck. Yeah, it was pretty horrific to watch, as it was just full of technical errors. In fact, the hosts were stalling so bad it looked like it hurt.
I could easily talk about this performance for another article, and perhaps I will tomorrow. If you want to head to the Monster site and lay down $29.99 for it, you can. It is available for the iPhone 6/6S, 6/6S Plus, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S5, and iPhone 5.
