It has been a while since I reviewed a product from Gumdrop, and I was pleased that I have had a chance to review the Hideaway Case for the iPad Pro. I’ll start by saying that the Hideway case really spotlights how big the iPad Pro is with its 12.9 inch screen, making the Case look like a digital picture frame or a small TV set when propped up.
Yes, it is propped up, which is why I chose the second image down below. What happens is one flap folds out, and the other smaller flap folds to magnetically lock it into place.
The material is the typical soft rubber, yet is also hard, like the tread of a good tire, but you don’t get your hands dirty by touching it. It has two layers of protection with internal polycarbonate frame and impact absorbing durable silicone external shell.
The Hideway is especially reinforced in the corners, and in one of the corners is a place for the Apple Pencil. You can see in the first illustration how it sticks in the side, and it can also poke through the corner as well.
If this is something that you want for your big iPad Pro, feel free to head to the Gumdrop site and lay down $69.95.
