Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)
Well, it has been quite a while since we have reviewed a product from Satechi, and it can be counted in years. In fact, it has been so long, I forgot the range of their products, but I recall it being quite a lot.
We’ll get to that when we talk about the company. For now, I want to explore what makes the SM3 Slim Mechanical Backlit Bluetooth Keyboard. The SM3 Slim Mechanical has a 108-key layout and a numeric pad, and it is Satechi’s first full-size mechanical keyboard made to work with both Windows and Mac systems. There are these specific OS keys labelled O for mac and P for win, which is an easy way to shift between platforms. I think I mentioned in the video how there are some replaceable keys, and each one has a “Low Profile Brown Switch”, but I do not know that that means.
I should probably take some time to talk about the cool sound that the keys make as I am dancing my fingers on them even as I write this article. It is a very pleasing sound, honestly. So, while I am talking about the sound of this keyboard, I should talk about the look of it. The SM3 Slim has a terrific aluminum frame, and it comes in a Light or Dark version.
I am told that you can link up to four different devices to this. It also has about 14 different patterns with three brightness levels, and four LED speeds. I tried to demonstrate a bunch of them in the video.
Now, the SM3 Slim has a rechargeable 2500mAh battery which charges via USB-C, and even comes with a USB-C to USB-C cord. You will notice in the video that I couldn’t get the wireless dongle to work, but I forgot to mention that you have to tell the keyboard that you are using said wireless dongle. If you can’t spare a USB-A port, it is possible to just use Bluetooth.
Yes, it is a very great keyboard, and you can get it for about $119.99 on the Satechi website.
Facts About The Company
The first thing that I discovered about Satechi is that it was one of the first electronics brands to design and carry Type-C products, and has since become a leader in the industry. I’m told that their products can be found in over 25,000 stores worldwide.
What Does This Company Make?
Like I said, the company specializes in USB-C products, with adapters and hubs and other charging accessories, computer peripherals, and other products. There are chargers for the car, not to mention power banks. There are also docking hubs and power adapters. Not to mention the keyboard and mice and other office accessories, as well as some cool bags. Yeah, we really need to review more Satechi products.

Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?
Considering that I just reviewed a keyboard from Matias, and it was also wireless, it is slightly cheaper.
As far as other keyboards are concerned, I did a little search on wireless and ergonomic keyboards. I’ve already linked to some articles above, but I reviewed this ones from the HP. Oh yes, and I reviewed some from Cherry.
You can also check on my Turtle Beach and Roccat reviews, as we have reviewed a lot of gaming keyboards.
