Nokia’s new method of augmented reality job searches

July 30, 2013 By Techno_Mark 1 Comment

joblens_uk_-_1As someone who has had to “pound the pavement” a few times in my life, I can tell you that I wish the job market was a little more structured. Considering that getting a job is the most important thing in our lives, you would think we would have some system in place that would insure that we are all employed.

Of course, I love all things augmented reality based, so you can imagine the excitement when I saw that Nokia launched an augmented reality job search app known as JobLens. In case you are wondering, JobLens enables you to simply hold up your smartphone and you can see where the posted jobs are from where you are standing with your smartphone.

In addition to this outstanding feature, JobLens can also work with your social media to see if your friends are connected to anyone who has any jobs available.

Well, is this going to be something that changes the job market? We will see. We shall see. I like anything that can make the world a better place.

Love this idea. I have a 21 year old son looking for work and this would be an amazing tool.
