Today's film that I am reviewing is one that you can watch in the YouTube video. It is a Ghostbusters film, but it isn't the reboot. Just to let you know, I did review the 2016 reboot, and you can read that review here. By the way, I liked it, and don't think it was worth the hate it received before it was released. It is not as good as a film as the 1984 Ghostbusters (like … [Read more...] about Speculative Fiction Saturday: Ghostbusters 3, not the reboot, but the game

Our Review of Dex: Enhanced
It's pretty obvious from this image what Dex is supposed to inspire. It is that genre of speculative fiction explored in works of William Gibson, where the future has been taken over by corporate conglomerates, and technology has gone wild, if not haywire. Dex, named after the main character in the game, is a really interesting mix of a game. The game seems to be a … [Read more...] about Our Review of Dex: Enhanced
Our Review of Mech-Action Assault Suit Leynos
Okay, here's an interesting game that I believe will be loved by those that love older games. In fact, Assault Suit Leynos is based on a legendary classic 16-bit series for the Sega Genesis known as Target Earth. Assault Suit Leynos uses the science fiction convention of a mech. You know those giant robots that humans control on the inside? You can to actually be in … [Read more...] about Our Review of Mech-Action Assault Suit Leynos
Game Review of Super Mutant Alien Assault
It's very difficult to come up with a new game in this age, and it is pretty clear that Super Mutant Alien Assault is meant to be an homage to video games rather than something original. However, I'm trying to compare it to something, and I'm coming up short. I have to admit that the title of Super Mutant Alien Assault sounds like it is supposed to be a parody of … [Read more...] about Game Review of Super Mutant Alien Assault
Game Review of Tumblestone
I believe that this game just went live today, so I can review it. I have had a chance to review it early on Steam, and it is quite interesting. Tumblestone is a great game if you are interested in those Match 3 games. You know, like Candy Crush, Bejeweled, and such stuff like that. I was personally addicted to one called Sugar Smash, that was a deliberate rip-off of … [Read more...] about Game Review of Tumblestone
Game Review: Heart and Slash
I have to admit that Heart and Slash is an unsual title for a game, but there is something outright unusual about Heart and Slash. The game is about a robot named Heart who is essentially an eighties computer monitor with robot arms, torso, and legs. I decided to do the tutorial, and it actually gives some backstory on the game. Apparently, some scientist named Dr. … [Read more...] about Game Review: Heart and Slash
Game Review: Tick Tock Bang Bang
There seems to be a trend these days for breaking the rules of time. For example, the video game Quantum Break allows the player to stop time, and then there is this awesome scene in X-Men: Apocalypse where the speedster Quicksilver rescues people from a building that is about to explode. Tick Tock Bang Bang takes that Matrix effect of slow time and makes a game out of it. … [Read more...] about Game Review: Tick Tock Bang Bang
Our Review of Tick’s Tales
Ah, there is nothing like playing a classic 8-bit RPG, which I have loved since the eighties since my Sierra gaming days. Tick's Tales: Up All Knight (get it?) is from Digital Bounce House and Phoenix Online, and it is kind of a satire of those old games. Yes, there is a lot of moving around and solving puzzles in this game, which is pretty much everything that I love … [Read more...] about Our Review of Tick’s Tales
Our Review of “Crimson Room Decade”
When I sent information about this game, I knew that I had to review it. Crimson Room Decade is about a man who wakes up in a locked room, and he has to find a way out. Considering that I have written a book called The Labyrinth House which deals with a man trapped in a mansion that he cannot escape. So I have a personal interest. The issue is, this game is much harder … [Read more...] about Our Review of “Crimson Room Decade”
Very Ambitious “Horizon Zero Dawn” Game Delayed
One of the things that I like about video games is some of the more modern ones decide to become almost a work of art with their style. The way Bioshock creates a world with some style just really brings the player within the game, shunning normal conventions. This looks to be the case with Horizon Zero Dawn, a game that is too good to be true, because it is now delayed. … [Read more...] about Very Ambitious “Horizon Zero Dawn” Game Delayed
Our Review of the Lumo Game
I'm going to have to say that I love Lumo. This game is a "classic isometric adventure with a modern twist", which means that it is some kind of puzzle/RPG game. As you can see from the image, there is a room here that looks to be part of a dungeon crawler game, and it is just suspended in space. I guess this is supposed to be an homage to games of the 80's and 90's, and … [Read more...] about Our Review of the Lumo Game
Disney Infinity is not Infinite as Game is Discontinued
I think I've been noticing a trend with Disney Infinity, as the games were just getting cheaper and cheaper. So, it looks like Disney is giving up on it. In fact, it looks like the media giant stated in its earnings report that it has discontinued entire self-publishing console game business. The worst part is that Disney is closed on Avalanche studio in Utah, so 300 … [Read more...] about Disney Infinity is not Infinite as Game is Discontinued
Our Review of Lego Jurassic World
Well, it has been a while since I reviewed a Lego game, and here's the thing: I'm not going to give a Lego game a bad review. The issue with the Lego series of games is that you really know what you are getting into, as each game is pretty much the same. Every game, from Lego Star Wars, Lego Batman, Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Harry Potter, Lego Lord of the Rings, etc. is … [Read more...] about Our Review of Lego Jurassic World
“I Want To Be Human” Game Review
As you can see, I am reviewing a game that is black and white and red all over. This is I Want To Be Human, and it has an interesting look to it. The premise of this game is that you are a vampire girl, and you are seeking to find your boyfriend who is a hat boy in the midst of a building filled with platforms. On the surface, it is a platformer, and that is all it … [Read more...] about “I Want To Be Human” Game Review
Our Review of Marble Mountain
Okay, today the second out of three video games that I am going to talk about this week. This is Marble Mountain. I'll start by saying that it is practically impossible to talk about Marble Mountain without mentioning a 1984 Atari game known as Marble Madness. It was released during the time when stand-up arcade games were going out of style, and the point of the game … [Read more...] about Our Review of Marble Mountain
