Our Review of the Oaxis myFirst Sketch Book Portable Drawing Pad

May 12, 2021 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

We have reviewed Oaxis products in the past before, with the last time being the myFirst Camera Insta2 and the myFirst Headphones BC wireless. This myFirst Sketch Book is definitely made with the little hands in mind, and it is a pretty good outlet for kids’ creative instincts.

Honestly, we have babies and toddlers who see smartphones and tablets as the ultimate toy. However, for the parent, you might not want to see your kids’ slimy fingerprints all over that touchscreen. The myFirst Sketch Book reminds me of this one toy I used to play as a kid that had a strange piece of plastic and plastic stylus, then you could just peel it up to erase what you had.

Yeah, I didn’t do a good job of explaining that old toy from the seventies, but do you see that drawing in the image? Man, I couldn’t draw like that, but if your kid could do that, wouldn’t you want to save it? Well, this is what you can do.

So, to use myFirst Sketch Book, I recommend using the app. In fact, you could use the app to sketch alone without the board hardware if you want. I had some trouble saving these drawings, but hey, I was impressed with the power that you have on the app. I mean, you can link this myFirst Sketch Book to your smartphone/tablet, and its like you’re playing with a Paint Program.

I found that this guy took a while to fully charge, but it will stay fully charged for two weeks. You also have to charge the stylus. And yes, I swear that it took me way too long to figure out how to erase the screen, but it worked.

You can purchase the myFirst Sketch Book on the Oaxis site for $99.00, and it comes with charging cord and case. Check out the video review below!
