Considering music’s trend for tech beats with acts like Daft Punk, is it really easy to see a world where music groups are completely robotic. This is the case with an album appropriately called Music for Robots, and it is created by a man known Squarepusher.
His robot band is called the Z Machines, and they are a three-part band. Their guitarist named MACH plays with 78 fingers as well as 12 picks. The drummer is ASHURA with a 22 piece drum kit, and their keyboard player is COSMO.
In case you are curious about how many people would pay to see just a bunch of pre-programmed robots, Squaremaster has addressed the issue of humans being more capable of playing. True, humans are capable of ad lib, but aren’t their performances rehearsed?
We’ll see if these Z-Machines have a chance to make it big in the real world.
