We review UAG products pretty regularly, and I have to admit that this is the first time that we have reviewed one of their Apple Watch wristbands. We were fortunate enough to review more than one of them, and two were the Active Watch Strap and the Leather Watch Strap.

UAG Active Watch Strap for the Apple Watch

I’m not certain what material that the Apple Watch comes with for its strap, and honestly, this is the first time I’m really thinking about the defunct material of an Apple product. So, the Active Watch is made of…I don’t know, Naugahyde? I don’t know, it feels like a dog’s leash or a belt, so I am assuming some naugas had to die to make the material for the UAG Active Strap.

Whatever it is made of, it is enough to tell me that it is made for someone with the active lifestyle, but you already know that. I think that there is something about active lifestyle that just calls for Velcro, so it comes with it, naturally. Not only that, but the buckle is made of stainless steel, so it will hold and be strong, like you are, you athlete.

UAG Leather Watch Strap for the Apple Watch

So, for those that are more the adventurous type, here is the Leather Watch Strap, also from UAG. Sure, you already knew that, and I’m not certain what makes the adventurous people less like the active people, but I’m told that the Leather Watch Strap is for those that are into adventure.

So, this is made out of real Italian Leather instead of the Naugahyde or whatever that Active Strap is made of. There is no Velcro here, but there is a buckle that I’m just going to say is made of stainless steel. Can’t verify the stainless steel on the buckle, as it does kind of feel different. Speaking of feel, I enjoy the feel of the leather here.
