The speaker is about the size of half a can of soda, but it produces some deep booming X-bass sound. I found that the PO-Bass Technology was terrific when the sound goes “boom”, and that happens in most new songs nowadays.
It was easy to pair, and I wonder if minimalism is what the Solo has in mind. There is a switch at the bottom for on and off, and then a button on top for play/pause. Those are all the controls on it, and yet I was able to pair it successfully without looking at the instructions. If you want volume control, just turn it up or down on your Bluetooth compatible device.
The Solo has a battery for up to 8 hours of play-time, and the speakers themselves can be daisy-chained together for a good wall of sound.
I found a good deal on this speaker from Amazon at a price of $19.99. There is no way a price that good can last.
