As I have stated before, I was involved in a car accident where I wish I could have had some thing to call the hospital. I can imagine the problem if I was involved in a bike accident.
Fortunately, there is the ICEdot Crash Sensor, a motion detector that senses when you have crashed (the ICEdot stands for In Case of Emergency dot). This yellow spot on the helmet connects with a phone via Bluetooth, and if you are in an accident, an alarm will sound. If you don’t shut down the alarm, it will contact emergency numbers and relay information about your location, not to mention any serious medical details like allergies or diabetes.
There is an application that will come with this, but it isn’t out now. It should be out sometime in 2013 with a release date for approximately $200.
