I have written about Disney Infinity before, and did a hands-on review when I had it for the Nintendo Wii. If you aren’t familiar with it, Disney Infinity is one of those games like Skylanders and Lego Dimensions where you have a figurine that you can put in the game, in a digital form.
Last year, they introduced Disney Infinity 2.0, which involved the addition of a lot of characters from Marvel, which is Disney property. What can they possibly put in Disney Infinity 3.0? Why, Star Wars characters, of course, also Disney property.
Available some time in the fall, Disney Infinity 3.0 plans to have three basic sets. One will be Twilight of the Republic which will feature young Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, young Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, and Darth Maul. Then there is Rise Against the Empire with Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Darth Vader. The last is based on December’s The Force Awakens, and my Source doesn’t seem to have the characters for that. I don’t really know the characters for that.
By the way, Disney Infinity 3.0 will have some Iron Man Hulkbuster and Ultron, not to mention Tron and Pixar figurines coming. The Twilight of the Empire set can be pre-ordered for about $65, and I’m not certain how much the other sets cost.
