Well, there is nothing I like more than playing some Steam Games, and Fenix Rage, from Green Lava Studios, is quite addictive.

Fenix Rage is a 2D action platformer which has a similar kind of play that I have seen before, I just can’t think of the name. The game is about beating a level by getting a character from point A to point B, in the least amount of time. This is made popular on mobile platforms with games like Angry Birds, and it is just a matter of advancing levels as perfect as possible.

I can’t help but compare this Fenix Rage to another game starring a small creature. I’m talking about Sonic the Hedgehog. That game was more side-scroller action, but Fenix has just as much speed since it is a timed game. The object is to reach a blue cube while trying to grab a cookie in the process. I think the cookie is optional, but it is a good challenge.

All around you are all sorts of obstacles including blobs that will start you over if you touch them. The interesting thing is you can jump and rise as high as you can, unless you hit the top, which will cause you to start the level over. In addition to jumping, there is also sprinting and I would imagine even more special moves. The special moves are the reason you should play this game with a gamepad, as I found it difficult on an ordinary keyboard.
