J5Create Part 3: JUA 365 USB 3.0 to Dual HDMI Multi-Monitor Adapter, JCA 379 USB Type-C HDMI and USB 3.0 with Power Delivery, and JUC 100 Wormhole Switch

It’s time once again to re-visit one of my newest favorite companies with J5Create, as they make some high-quality and useful computer accessories.

JUA 365 USB 3.0 to Dual HDMI Multi-Monitor Adapter

I would say that the JUA 365 has a function that you can easily see from its image, and I would be right. All you need to do is plug in the Dual HDMI monitor into a USB 3.0 port, and you have two HDMI ports ready for two monitors.

In fact, it feels similar because we recently reviewed a product similar to it with the JUD 380 USB 3.0 Mini Dock. This is because the JUA 365 comes with three viewing modes like: 1) Primary, with individual applications open on each monitor 2) Extended mode, to allow you to extend your desktop across multiple displays, and 3) Mirror mode, for cloning one screen to another.

In today’s world, where it seems every household and business computer needs more than one monitor, the JUA 365 is welcome. By the way, this is good for 4K UHD playback up to 3840 x 2160. It can be purchased on the J5Create site for $79.99.

JCA 379 USB Type-C HDMI and USB 3.0 with Power Delivery

Here’s an interesting device with the JCA 379. This particular device is made for the USB-C port.

Go ahead and plug this in to the MacBook, Chromebook, or other USB-C compatible device. Then you will need to plug the JCA 379 into the wall, and you have two ports. One of them is for the HDMI and the other is for the USB.

Not only does this device provide power delivery as well as extra connectivity with 5 Gbps transfer speed, but it can also support 4K HDMI. In short, it is a very excellent device, and it can be purchased on the J5Create site for $49.99.

JUC 100 Wormhole Switch for Windows and Android

This last device from J5Create is the JUC 100 Wormhole Switch. That sounds like something from science fiction, but it is quite something.

It feels like something that I have reviewed before, but that would be the JUC 400, as far as I can tell. The JUC 100 is made to plug into a USB port, and you can plug the other end into something else. It is compatible from Windows to iPad, Windows to Android, or just plain Windows to Windows.

The JUC 400 is what you need to transfer files for copy and paste procedures. Yes, it is very good at what it does, and it is available from the J5Create site for $24.99.

J5Create Part 2: USB Type-C Multi Adapter, USB 3.0 Mini Dock, and 5-Port USB Super Charger

Okay, it’s time to review some more J5Create products, and today I am looking at these docks/adapters. I’m not certain that this is a good way to organize “Tomorrow’s Products Today” but hey, I really like their slogan and should have mentioned it in my first article.

J5Create JUD380 USB 3.0 Mini Dock

Okay, so let’s say that you want some kind of external dual monitor for your PC or Mac, so you should just use the USB port. The JUD380 has that 3.0 plug, and then there are a lot of ports like two USB, one for the firewire, an HDMI port, and a VGA. Also, there is an optional Micro 8 DC in 5V.

The whole thing is very good at what it does, which is made for plugging in an adapter without some crazy expensive video card. All that is required is that you use the JUD380 to load the drivers, plug the adapter into the USB port, and then plug in the VGA or HDMI port.

It comes with three viewing modes like: 1) Primary, with individual applications open on each monitor 2) Extended mode, to allow you to extend your desktop across multiple displays, and 3) Mirror mode, for cloning one screen to another.

Sound like something that you like? Head on over to the J5Create site and pay $79.99.

J5Create JCA374 USB Type-C Multi-Adapter

The JCA374 is very similar to the JUD380, but it is a USB Type-C Multi-Adapter with HDMI/Ethernet/USB 3.1 HUB/PD 2.0 ports. It provides extra connectivity from your computer with 5 Gbps transfer speed.

As stated before, you might notice that the ports are similar, almost exactly alike when compared to the JUD380. However, this one has that USB-C, which J5Create says is the new standard for connecting desktops and laptops, but I am not certain if it “will eventually replace all current USB cables and connectors”.

I have a USB port on my HTC 10, and I love how fast it charges. so there’s a great powering and it has fast data transfer rates of up to 10 Gbps. Oh it is also good for 4K video, and has some surge protection.

You should be able to purchase the JCA374 USB Type-C Multi-Adapter for $79.99 on the J5Create site.

J5Create JUP50 5-Port USB Super Charger

This last product of the JUP50 40W 5-Port USB Super Charger is pretty simple. I mean, who doesn’t want an extra 5 ports for just about anything?

In this case, the JUP50 has Intelligent Identification technology, allowing you to detect devices and give them a great charge. Each one has 2.4A, which is good enough for some surge protection as well.

So, if you want to get in on this, head on over to the J5Create site and pay $29.99 for it.

J5Create Part 1: JDA159 Mini DisplayPort to 4K HDMI Adapter and JUC500 USB 3.0 Wormhole Switch

It has been a good long while since I have reviewed a decent J5Create product, and I am not certain how to describe what it is that they make. Generally, their products are accessories for your computer designed to link one thing to another, and these first two products are a demonstration of that.

J5Create JDA159 Mini DisplayPort to 4K HDMI Adapter

The JDA159 is a Mini DisplayPort to 4K HDMI adapter that is made to connect your Mac or PC to to a 4K HDTV or some other device that can use an HDMI port. It is compliant with both DisplayPort 1.2 and Thunderbolt 2, as well as compliant with HDMI 1.4 specifications. Oh, while we are talking about specs, it supports resolutions up to 4K Ultra HD (4096 x 2160, 30Hz) and 3D video formats over HDMI.

The best part is how easy it is to install. It is a true plug-and-play technology, and all that is required is plugging the JDA159 Mini DisplayPort to the computer, then plug the existing HDMI cable from your display into the Mini DisplayPort adapter. It can’t get any simpler than that, seriously.

You should be able to purchase the JDA159 Mini DisplayPort to 4K HDMI Adapter on the J5Create site for $39.99.

JUC500 USB 3.0 Wormhole Switch

The JUC500 is essentially a double-duty USB 3.0 cable that allows you to do all kinds of things between two computers, even if one is a Mac and the other is a PC. Oh yeah, this is all about compatibility here, with new drivers to download.

What is really interesting is you can link two computers, and you can use a keyboard or mouse on either on the other computers. Does that make sense? I hope so. Perhaps it is better to say how you can drag and drop files from one computer to the other.

So if you have some file that you want to transfer to another computer, just select it, and then drag and drop it over. You should be okay for all types of file transfers, and it is backwards compatible with USB 2.0.

You should be able to purchase the JUC500 USB 3.0 Wormhole Switch on the J5Create site for $59.99.

My Review of the J5Create JUD480 USB 3.0 Boomerang Station

JUD480It has been over a year since I reviewed a J5Create product, and one of the products that I reviewed was the JUD500 Ultra Station. This time, I had the chance to review the JUD480 USB 3.0 Boomerang Station.

I’m sure that you can see why it is called the Boomerang Station just by its shape. I would imagine that if you threw it right, it would probably come back to you. Its shape is terrific for holding up your laptop at a certain angle, as you can see.

It is made for connecting a 2nd monitor with a VGA port, and you probably can’t see the other ports like four USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, microphone, speaker, and Gigabit Ethernet. There is also a power adapter and a 3.0 Host port to connect it to your computer.

As I had a chance to try it out, I think something like this is a must if you are trying to make your ordinary laptop a super power center. After all, if you want another screen, then you are going to want some kind of hook-ups for everything, and laptops always seem to run out of USB ports.

If you want it, you can find out more information about it on the J5Create site. You won’t be able to buy it there, but you should be able to get it for about $140.00, because that is about the highest price I found it for.

J5Create Part 2: The JUE130, JUA210, and JUA310

J5 Create Gigabit InternetIn addition to the J5Create stuff that I recently reviewed last time, I thought I should take the time to review three other products that the company has sent me as well.

The first is the USB 3.0 Gigabit Ethernet. This is essentially for any laptop or other kind of computer that doesn’t have an Ethernet port. Now, I am taking that from the company website, as I thought that every computer should have at least one Ethernet port. The speed increase will be 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet Connection, and again, I am quoting from the site. I am not much as an Internet expert as I am a user.

This particular device is plug-and-play backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1, and is also compatible with both Windows and Mac OS. Well, you got to like that, and if you want to learn to like it too, then head on over to Amazon and pay about $29.99 (looks like it is marked down to half price).

JUE 210Okay, let’s continue to go in numerical order as I talk about the JUA210. This is a USB 2.0 VGA Display Adapter, and it allows the user to instantly add an extra monitor. It can support a display resolution of 1920 x 1200 with the ease of plug and play USB connectivity. Yes, VGA is not a problem with this. It can support up to four displays running on the Windows computer or two displays for the Mac.

Yes, it is both Windows and Mac compatible. Think of it as an extra video card, without all the complexity of opening up any computers. It is good for 720p HD with resolution of 1920 x 1200. If you like this, you can get it on sites like Amazon for just $49.99.

J5 Create VGA USB 3This leads us to the JUA310 USB 3.0 VGA Display Adapter. I would have to say that it is a step up from the JUA210, as it does the same thing, but for a higher resolution level (2048 x 1152). In fact, if you click on the link to the company site two sentences ago, you will see that its description is almost exactly the same, save for the higher resolution, of course.

The JUA310 has a slightly higher price at 67.95 on sites like Amazon, and this concludes our coverage of J5Create. I’ve got to give the company a huge shoutout for letting me review these fine products, and will say that they are good holiday gifts for those in need of such things.

J5 Create Part 1: Ultra Station JUD500 and Wormhole USB Transfer Cable JUC400

j5Create Ultra StationLet’s face it, we all want to do more on our laptops. It feels like I am always running out of USB ports, but thanks to the J5Create Ultra Station (JUD500), this isn’t much of a problem anymore.

You can see in the image here the bar that is this power station, and it is pretty impressive what it will give an ordinary laptop. It has two USB 3.0 Ports, a USB 2.0 port, a VGA Port, and an HDMI port with a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1152. It also has an Ethernet port and ports for microphone and headphones. There is also a wormhole switch, but I will discuss what that is later.

I had a chance to try it out, and I like having the use of more ports. I will have to say only two drawbacks. You have to plug this Ultra Station to get it to work, and the included cord is not very long. Also, I had a Monitor2Go from MMT on my laptop, and since I installed the Ultra Station, I am having a hard time getting it to work again. But I can solve that problem.

j5Create WormholeLet’s talk again about the Wormhole that I mentioned earlier. I realize that sounds like that term they throw around on Stargate, but with J5Create, it is something more practical.

What you are seeing here is the Wormhole Switch, and it gives the a user the ability to transfer files from one computer to the other. This is true if you are using Windows to Windows, Mac to Mac, Mac to Windows, even Mac to iPad. The Ultra Station that I have previously discussed has this tech built-in.

I recommend giving these products a try if you are trying to network your laptops. You can get the JUD500 Ultra Station on Amazon for about $116 and the Wormhole switch cable JUC 400 for about $34.99.
