I have seen a lot of visors that are set to provide a 3D experience. Go ahead and look up the Myvu (currently out of business) and the Vuzix viewer. Those aforementioned technologies used two screens to create a 3D effect and a private watching experience. I suppose that Google Glass could change that market, but the Avegant could change everything. The Avegant … [Read more...] about Avegant Virtual Retinal Display

Archos Unveils the GamePad 2
Some of you might remember when we covered the Archos GamePad, as it was only last August. Apparently, it was a hit, because the second version has already been made. The GamePad 2 has a 7-inch HD screen with a resolution 1200 x 800 pixels. It has a A9 generation quad-core processor with 1.6GHz with some Quad-Core action, which works well for 3D games. It also has some … [Read more...] about Archos Unveils the GamePad 2
Jimmy Kimmel’s comments reveal everything wrong with Fox News’ tech
I've always like Jimmy Kimmel, and honestly think he is funnier than Jay Leno, Jimmy Fallon, but probably not Conan O'Brien. Jimmy was able to point out a terrible flaw with Fox News and their new technology. Apparently, Fox News has coated its newsroom with giant, 55-inch tablets. I have to admit, I would love it if I had a tablet that big. Yeah, it would be nice, and you … [Read more...] about Jimmy Kimmel’s comments reveal everything wrong with Fox News’ tech
Samsung unveils the GALAXY ROUND with a curved display
Some of you might remember yesterday when we discussed LG and their flexible screens, and here is another historical moment, this time for Samsung. The GALAXY ROUND is the first curved display, and it has a 5.7 inch super AMOLED curved display. Now, I don't know why one might need a curved display, but there is some interesting features like Roll Effect to check on … [Read more...] about Samsung unveils the GALAXY ROUND with a curved display

I'm sure that a lot of us want to have a cheap laptop, as most of us are set back several hundred dollars if we buy a new one. Hashtag, I’m sick of this joke!
It seems like I am seeing a lot of comedy bits with "hashtag" in them. I see no point in figuring out who started it. Recently, Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake did a sketch where they were constantly saying "hashtag" after everything, as if their life was nothing but a series of tweets. It is pretty clear that these hashtag comedy bits are trying to satirize that. I … [Read more...] about Hashtag, I’m sick of this joke!
LG set to produce some bendable and unbreakable smartphone displays
I have been hearing about bendable displays for years, and I always figured that the company who could produce them fast and cheap would reign supreme on the smartphone market. It looks like LG could be the guy who reigns with the flexible OLED panel, as they claim to have that inside their own devices. It could happen as fast as next month with the G-Flex, but I figured … [Read more...] about LG set to produce some bendable and unbreakable smartphone displays
New Samsung Smartwatch Galaxy Gear Ad
I remember a while ago that I said something like "Hey, Samsung, maybe I don’t want a smartwatch, did you ever think of that?" After seeing the ad that you can see above, I might just change my mind. The advertisement shows that people have been using wristwatches as communicators since the invention of science fiction. For some reason, this seems to be in the realm of … [Read more...] about New Samsung Smartwatch Galaxy Gear Ad
The Nighthawk from Armpocket
I have reviewed the Armpocket before, and I was glad to get a chance to try out the Nighthawk for myself. Armpocket makes products that I have seen before. Most recently, I have reviewed the Tunebelt. There is no point in trying to say whether someone is ripping another company off. I suppose that all of us want to put our phone on our arm when we are jogging. The … [Read more...] about The Nighthawk from Armpocket
Boston Dynamics unveils the Wildcat robot
For a while, I have been seeing a Boston Dynamics robot that has four legs and can run. Now here is the Wildcat. The Wildcat is capable of speeds of 16 mph, which is not as fast as the Boston Dynamics Cheetah which clocks in at 29.3 mph. I will have to admit that I am impressed that they got this thing literally up and running, as I have created Lego walking creations. … [Read more...] about Boston Dynamics unveils the Wildcat robot
HuMn Wallet changes how you carry your money
The other day I was asked to review the HuMn Wallet 2, and I wasn't certain what I would be reviewing. I rightly assumed that it was a wallet, and it uses the elemental abbreviation in its title, sort of like the show everyone is talking about, Breaking Bad. The HuMn Wallet 2 is an interesting wallet that shuns the traditional wallet. It is not leather, and it doesn't … [Read more...] about HuMn Wallet changes how you carry your money
Speculative Fiction Saturday: Bicentennial Man
I think I mentioned in my review of The Final Cut that Robin Williams is generally in movies that have a certain formula to them, and Bicentennial Man follows that formula all the way. The formula is that Robin Williams plays a character who carries a certain happiness with him, but the rest of society just doesn't see it that way. Robin Williams then does his best to be even … [Read more...] about Speculative Fiction Saturday: Bicentennial Man
Lifeproof introduces the nüüd for the iPad mini
Some of you when I reviewed the nüüd for the Galaxy S III. I remember when I got it that I was surprised the touchscreen was pretty much exposed. Yeah, I figured that was going to happen with the nüüd for the iPad mini. The nüüd allows for a naked screen for the iPad Mini, as the border of this forms a watertight seal. Yep, it has a seal against water, dirt, snow, … [Read more...] about Lifeproof introduces the nüüd for the iPad mini
Rumor Friday, Part 2: Amazon has a 3D phone
Again, we are dealing with rumors. This time, we are going to talk about another big tech company with possible news. Yeah, possible news. This is all about rumors. I must have missed this, but apparently the Wall Street Journal reported that Amazon is working on a 3D phone. How in the world did I miss reporting on that? Well, a recent report from TechCrunch has stated … [Read more...] about Rumor Friday, Part 2: Amazon has a 3D phone
Rumor Friday, Part 1: An iPhone Gaming Controller from Logitech?
Now here's something that I like, not reporting on tech news, but rumors about tech news. I've been hearing about rumors of tech, and I often don't report on them because these rumors don't come to fruition. At WWDC this year, Apple referenced this idea for a gaming controller, and this one would be official. This is what it...could be, and this one would be from Logitech. … [Read more...] about Rumor Friday, Part 1: An iPhone Gaming Controller from Logitech?
