Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)
So, this is one of those times where it didn’t do quite what it should, but I don’t think that was the fault of the product itself. I will go into more detail later about what I mean about that, because GameSir is quite a company that makes some very cool products.
That being said, I had a chance to try out the Cyclone and Cyclone Pro Multi-Platform Wireless Game Controllers, and I definitely liked my experience. Yes, this is two different products, and I’ll just get this out of the way when I say that the difference between the two of them is that the Cyclone Pro includes a very handy wireless USB dongle.
You can see me try them out in my video, but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to try them out on all platforms. The four platforms that the Cyclone and Cyclone Pro work with include PC, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS. This includes a wired connection and a Bluetooth wireless connection (the dongle also works too, if you go Pro).
Let’s start with the PC. You plug this into the PC with the included charging cord, and bam, it works with whatever game is compatible with a controller. However, if you don’t need to charge your controller, and you don’t like wires, then just go with the dongle. I had a chance to test it with wires and the dongle, but I didn’t get any chance with the Bluetooth. Bluetooth is really sketchy on my laptop, and I figured that I would try it out on the other platforms first.
I moved on with Android. I had to admit that I had a rough time getting this to work, as there were times where my phone said that it was Bluetooth synced, but the controller didn’t seem to work with my mobile games. This might have been because I needed to sufficiently charge the Cyclone controllers before I started playing. Whoops.
At first I thought that the reason why the controller didn’t work was because I needed to download an app, so I downloaded the GameSir App. As it turns out, the GameSir app doesn’t really have anything to do with how the controller works, I think.
I was almost ready to give up on this, but I then tried it out on the Nintendo Switch. In order to pair these devices, you have to hit the home button and some button that makes the home button glow a different color. It was red for the Switch, and Yellow for Android.
I was very glad to see that it worked for the Nintendo Switch, as that was what I really wanted to try it out on. Needless to say, both the Cyclone and the Cyclone Pro are very, very righteous. I did notice something with the buttons. On the Cyclone, the X, Y, A, and B button were labeled just like they were on the Switch. But on the Cyclone Pro, the X and Y as well as the A and B were switched (at least the labels were). I found that in playing on the switch, the buttons didn’t quite match up as a video game prompting asking to hit the A button would actually affect my gameplay as hitting the button labeled A was actually the B. I apologize for how confusing that sounds. Needless to say, one is set up for the Xbox buttons and the other is for Switch.
Facts About The Company
GameSir was founded in 2010 with a gaming service platform, and it is Guangzhou for its headquarters and R&D center, with a global marketing center in Los Angeles. This company has a business philosophy of “pragmatism, innovation, openness, and cooperation”. Apparently, GameSir conducts its research and development base on an Internet model, and manufactures products in “geek spirit”.
Just to let you know, I am totally down with this “geek spirit”. I would like to think that I greatly channel this geek spirit in my own work. Anyway, they use this gaming peripheral to make each player experience beyond and above the gaming experience.
GameSir has several partners around the world, and this includes established brands such as Apple, Gameloft, Nvidia, and DJI. They also work with well-renowned E-sports platforms like Sweden Challengermode and Spanish ArenaGG. The company supports many world-class E-sports teams.
What Does This Company Make?
I guess the short answer is: gaming stuff. There is a lot of it, and like I said before in the video, it has been quite a while since I have reviewed on of their products. This was the GameSir VX AimSwitch, and it was an excellent controller the PC, and I seem to recall that it was good for the PS4 and the Switch.
You can definitely find all kinds of controllers on the GameSir products site, not to mention all kinds of gaming accessories. I have to admit that the prices are much lower than what I expected them to be.
Just the Specs, Man
If you’re the type that needs this info, this section is for you!
I didn’t really find a spec sheet that I could copy and paste here, so I will discuss features that I didn’t talk about before.
It has motion control for immersive gameplay, so that’s cool. There is a multi-function m button for convenient control like between hair and linear trigger, grips vibration intensity, stick 0 deazone mode, and the ABXY layout.
Oh, there is also 2 programmable macro back buttons, and I forgot to mention that entirely. Oh, I also forgot to mention the vibration thing that is really effective in calibration.
If there is something on this that I didn’t cover, please let me know.
What Do the Reviews Say?
I could only find the Cyclone on Amazon, and I’m certain if it matches the exact model that I have.

Okay, I Like It, Just Give Me The Link So I Can Buy It Already!
Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?
As I have said before, the Cyclone and Cyclone Pro are quite something. I have reviewed the Controller from Turtle Beach that was similar, but a higher price. I also did the Hex Gaming Ultra X review, and that was quite expensive. I also reviewed the GameSir G7, I would say that it is a good product for its price.
