Our Review of the iOttie Velox Mini Qi2 Wireless Air Vent Mount

March 10, 2024 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)

So, this is one of those iOttie products, and I have to admit that this one is very, very useful. The iOttie Velox Mini Qi2 Wireless Air Vent Mount is made to affix to the Air Vent flaps on your car, and when you hook it up, you can charge your phone.

That sounds pretty simple, and it is. The set-up certainly didn’t take a lot of time, as it comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable that you plug into your car’s cigarette lighter port. Oh, it comes with the adapter that you will need.

The Velox Mini Qi2 has Qi2 technology so your phone will stick to it magnetically. Now, you might find that in the video that I couldn’t get my phone to stick, but I have an older model of the Samsung, so that just makes a whole heck of a lot of sense. It does work well with MagSafe compatible iPhones, and you can see in the video how well the MagSafe compatible cases stick.

So yes, you have a great place to stick your phone up, and it will charge as you can view the Map functions or whatever else you might need while driving. By the way, there is a built-in ventilation system to dissipate heat.

In short, what more do you want? I suppose that this particular product is just what everyone is looking for.

Facts About The Company

I have to admit that I thought iOttie is a newer company than I thought. According to the “About Us”, the company started in 2010, when smartphones were starting to become the mainstream as far as mobile communication goes.

The company of iOttie began to innovate for the modern smartphone generation, and this includes creating new types of wireless chargers, power banks, and dash cams. The company is committed to sustainability, and “treating each new product as a work of art”. I think iOttie lives its principles, really.

What Does This Company Make?

Like I said before, they have wireless chargers, power banks, and dash cams. Their automobile accessories are equipped for MagSafe, and are Alexa Assisted as well. As far as home and on the go, they are good for wireless chargers and wall chargers.

Just the Specs, Man

If you’re the type that needs this info, this section is for you!

I don’t really know what to put here, really. I usually see some specs listed. I did see this:

Wireless charging up to 15W
Powerful magnetic hold
Built-in ventilation system
Silicone prongs & mount face
Rotating ball joint for optimal viewing angles
Compact, lightweight design
20W power adapter included
Only compatible with Qi2-enabled smartphones & MagSafe series iPhones
If there is something on this that I didn’t cover, please let me know.

What Do the Reviews Say?

I don’t see any reviews on the iOttie website, and I couldn’t quite find it on Amazon.com. At least the variations that I think this is.

Okay, Get To The Unboxing Already!

Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?

Well, the only mount that I found that I had reviewed also belonged to Scosche, and it was pretty good. Oh, I also reviewed another iOttie product. So, yeah, I’ve reviewed iOttie and Scosche, a lot.
