Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)
My answer to this is: it does it and so much more. I am guessing that I could describe the GE Lighting CYNC Dynamic Effects Neon Shape Smart Light as a light strip, but that feels like an oversimplification. I’ve seen light strips that are paper thin, and this one is quite thick, but what it has in thickness it makes up for it in programmability.
The GE Lighting CYNC Dynamic Effects Neon Shape Smart Light is something that has to be seen to be believed, not to mention touched, and heard. Perhaps you even want to skip the unboxing in the video and get to when I actually turn it on.
Granted, I just looped it around my tree a few times, and I wish it was longer. As far as I know, I don’t think there is a way to link two of these Smart Light strips together. If you were able to do that, it would be simply amazing.
You can see in the image how it can be bent into shapes like a star, but this isn’t the only thing. Yeah, there is no way that I could demonstrate everything that it could be bent into. I was able to demonstrate at least some of the things that all the bright and colorful light strip is capable of.
You can see that you can program individual sections of the strip to be whatever color that you want it to be. There are also patterns you can use that cause the lights to blink in all kinds of ways, and pretty much every effect is beautiful. All that is required is pairing it with a GE CYNC app, which is a snap. From there, you can turn them off and on, and all kinds of tricks, and it works with Alexa and Google Home.
By the way, these Smart Lights are music sensitive, so they will adjust its brightness to the beat of whatever music that you want to put to them. I was not able to give an adequate demonstration on my video due to copyright regulations, but I wouldn’t mind giving it a shot on Tik Tok.
Facts About The Company
Am I really going to talk about GE? It reminds me of a few weeks ago when I talked about HP. Man, there are some companies that if you don’t know about already, I wonder if you will ever know.
Apparently, GE has been at the forefront of lighting technology for about 130 years. I mean, it was started by Thomas Edison himself, for crying out loud!
If you don’t mind, I’m just going to fast forward to about 2015, when GE announces C by GE, a line of smart lighting products.
What Does This Company Make?
It would take me a while to list out every product GE has made. Earlier this year, we reviewed three of their products with the Outdoor Smart Plug, Indoor Smart Plug, and Direct Connect Outdoor Light Bulb.
Just the Specs, Man
If you’re the type that needs this info, this section is for you!
I didn’t really see a specs page for this particular thing.
If there is something on this that I didn’t cover, please let me know.
What Do the Reviews Say?
So, I have to say that I really enjoyed this product, and I was surprised that it didn’t have an average rating of 4 stars out of 5. It came close at 3.9 stars out of 22 ratings.
Okay, Get To The Unboxing Already!
Okay, I Like It, Just Give Me The Link So I Can Buy It Already!
Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?
I think the only Light Strip that I have ever reviewed came from Monster, and that was 5 years ago.
