SECURAM 4-Part Review: Touch Smart Lock, Smart Hub, Smart Safe Monitor, & Wi-Fi Security Switch

April 10, 2025 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)

All right, today we have a chance to review not just one, but four products made by SECURAM. I’ll talk about the company later, but I think it would be better if I talk about the individual products. You could also skip to the videos below.

Our Review of the SECURAM Touch Smart Lock

All right, let’s start with the Touch Smart Lock. We have reviewed products like this before, but this would have to be the first time I had one with a touch sensor for activation, not to mention a keypad. If you aren’t familiar with this type of product, it essentially allows you to take control of your deadbolt lock with your smart device.

I really wish I had shown how to do the installation in the video, but it was pretty easy. The first time I tried to do it, I thought that I couldn’t take out the latching mechanism in the door (I’m sure there is a better name for this, but I don’t really know it). All you really have to do is just remove the deadbolt and put on the Touch Smart Lock, and then pair it with the spp. From there, you take control from the lock with the phone.

I didn’t really have any difficulty with the set up, really. If you are concerned about the weather, the Touch Smart Lock is IP54 rated for weather resistance. There is an option for an auto-lock, and there is a 30-user capacity. If you are worried about accidentally locking yourself outside, it comes with a key that you have to insert on the underside of the lock.

If you want it, you can go to the SECURAM website and pay $215.00 for it. I put that price on the video, but it is actually about $199.00 at the time of this writing.

Our Review of the SECURAM Smart Hub

I believe that the Smart Hub is made for being a “bridge to the internet for SECURAM Home Security products”. All that is required is just plugging it into the wall, and setting it up with the app, and you’re linked to a 2.4GHz WiFi network.

I had an issue with using it at first, but once the app found it, I had no problems after that. I think it had something to do with that push button thing. Then I installed the devices that you can read about in this article, well, most of them.

In addition to these cool feature, the Smart Hub works with Alexa and Google voice commands for hands-free operation. If you want to get in on this, you can head to the SECURAM site and pay $89.00 for it, but, at the time of this writing, it is just $69.00.

Our Review of the SECURAM Smart Safe Monitor

The SECURAM Smart Safe Monitor is made to detect motion of any type, and I had a good chance to see it work. You can even see it in the video, as I put it in front of my door. You better believe that I got notified when that door was open.

So, yes, if you have an item that you don’t want moved, this would be a good thing to have. Just to let you know, you will need some batteries (three AAs) and will need to plug in the antenna. I mentioned in the video how hard I found it to plug in that antenna, but I really was over-complicating that.

Not only do you have a motion detector, there is a temperature and humidity detector as well. I found that it was easy to pair, provided I hit the button, I guess. Also, I was using the SECURAM Smart Hub, so that could be a thing.

If you want this, you can get it on the SECURAM site for a price of $160.00.

Our Review of the SECURAM Wi-Fi Security Switch

I will have to say that the Wi-Fi Security Switch is a great product, but sadly, I wasn’t exactly able to try it. Part of it is when I removed the cover for my light switch (after cutting the power to it), and I couldn’t figure out how to remove the wires from the switchbox.

So, I will definitely talk about the features. There is a smart button for turning on or off routines, schedules, and scenes. There is also a manual switch to turn on or off, and then there is a laser motion sensor to turn lights on when motion is detected. There is also an ambient light sensor to detect environmental lighting to trigger smart scenes.

It is good to have this, so you can use your smart device to turn your lights on and off, which really gives the allusion that you are home. There is also voice control, a countdown timer, and a way to set schedules.

Yes, it is all there, and it can be purchased for a pretty low price of $45.95 on the SECRUAM site.

Facts About The Company

According to the website, SECURAM has been into security solutions since 1991, and pioneering contactless access control for doors and safes since that time. Basically, they make a lot of stuff to make your home secure.

What Does This Company Make?

If you’ve got this far, then you have probably read that SECURAM makes a Smart Hub for its products. You shouldn’t need to make a Hub unless you make a lot of cool products that work together, and this is a lot. Not only does the company make some great home locks, but they also make stand alone locks.
