I wasn't really expecting to review the PhoneSuit Elite, but I was pleased to try it out. It is very similar to the Lifecharge from Ontrion, as the PhoneSuit and Lifecharge are both mobile batteries and cases for the iPhone 5/5S. According to the PhoneSuit website, it "doubles the power of the iPhone 5/5S providing enough energy to get you through up to 2 days of usage … [Read more...] about PhoneSuit Elite Battery Case for the iPhone 5/5S
Speculative Fiction Saturday: Frozen
Before I start my review of this film, let me say that I didn't think I was going to like it. The preview that I have seen of this film had several things against it: The first is the living snowman, who looks like he could seriously Jar-Jar up the place. The second is the dialogue sounded too modern. Characters say things like: "Oh this is awkward, not your awkward, but my … [Read more...] about Speculative Fiction Saturday: Frozen
Someone finally made a realistic Barbie doll!
When it comes to Barbie, I think we all sort of appreciate the fact that she is sort of a symbol of womanhood but at the same time a parody of one. Some will say that Barbie is the trophy wife, but you can't deny the toy has lasted the test of time. What can I say about Barbie that most people haven't said before? I once heard that if Barbie was full sized, she couldn't … [Read more...] about Someone finally made a realistic Barbie doll!
Multi-Sync Keyboard from Kanex
I have written a lot about Bluetooth keyboards before, and there isn't a lot more that I can say except that they are wireless. Do I really need to say that it goes without saying? Because I sort of just said it. I have also reviewed a lot of Kanex products, like the Sydnee and the mySpot. I really got to admire Kanex's Multi-Sync Keyboard, as it is the only keyboard … [Read more...] about Multi-Sync Keyboard from Kanex
Exetech XS-3 is a smartphone and smartwatch
Just yesterday, we reported on the Headwatch, which is essentially a smartwatch and Bluetooth headset at the same time. Today, we'll report on the Exetech XS-3, which is essentially a smartwatch smartphone, for lack of a better word. Granted, you will have a smartwatch that will stick up 2 cm from your wrist, but you will have an Android 4.0 device with dual-core MediaTek … [Read more...] about Exetech XS-3 is a smartphone and smartwatch
Check out this holographic iPhone design!
Now that the Galaxy S 5 will be released in April, and the iPhone 6 is most definitely on its way, I don't know what more we can do with phones that hasn't been done before. I mean, do we need to see more of the "oh, it's a complete touchscreen" model that has been done to death since the first version of the iPhone? Perhaps this concept model shows where smartphones are … [Read more...] about Check out this holographic iPhone design!
Headwatch could change mobile technology
Just when you thought that everything was done for mobile technology, the Headwatch completely blows the lid off the box. The Headwatch is essentially a smartwatch that is also a headset. If you have a smartwatch with your phone, then you know it is all about getting a watch notification, and answering the call from your phone. With the Headwatch, you just slide off the … [Read more...] about Headwatch could change mobile technology
Spritz allows you to brush up on your speed-reading skills
I've always been interested in improving my speed-reading, and I am pleased to say that a new program known as Spritz is there for Samsung devices. Here are some interesting things that you might not know about speed-reading. First, the average reader can do about 220 words a minute. Second, a lot of time is wasted because our eyes are moving constantly back-and-forth. … [Read more...] about Spritz allows you to brush up on your speed-reading skills
This Lego Keyboard has Interchangeable Keys
Of course I want this in front of my computer right now, but hey, that's probably not going to happen. This is a project from Jason Allemann, who somehow manged to create a keyboard with interchangeable brick keys. In case you are wondering why anyone would do this, the real question is, why wouldn't you want to do this? Of course, I am assuming that you have to program … [Read more...] about This Lego Keyboard has Interchangeable Keys
BackBeat GO 2 from Plantronics
I have reviewed a lot of Plantronics products in my time, like the Voyager Legend and the Marque 2. I had a chance to try out the BackBeat Go 2, and it is always a wireless wonder. These are the type of wireless earbuds that link via Bluetooth to a mobile device, and they wrap around the back of your head. This is made to take out the tangle, and it also has another … [Read more...] about BackBeat GO 2 from Plantronics
Hands on with the Sound Pockets iPhone cases
As you may know, I tend to report on products that solve a need that I never knew that I had. Such is the case of the Sound Pockets, made for the iPhone 5/5S. In this case, it is a storage case for the earbuds that is also a case. You can see in the image how you can wind the earbuds around this special thing, and a lid opens to keep them in there. Why would you want … [Read more...] about Hands on with the Sound Pockets iPhone cases
Electronic Arts to work with virtual reality?
In case you don't know, there is a big conference in Austin known as South by Southwest (SXSW), and it is devoted to film, music, and other media. Andrew Wilson, from Electronic Arts (EA), didn't really have much to stay about virtual reality (VR), but he did bring up something interesting. According to my Source, the man from the second-biggest video game company in the … [Read more...] about Electronic Arts to work with virtual reality?
Speculative Fiction Saturday: About Time
For some reason, I find myself reviewing films that are technically not speculative fiction. In the case of About Time, this film is probably best classified as a romance. Apparently, the creators of this film also created Love Actually, Notting Hill, and Four Weddings and a Funeral. If these aren't woman-targeted romances, I don't know what is. The film About Time is … [Read more...] about Speculative Fiction Saturday: About Time
Levo Essential Tablet and eReader Floor Stand
You know what the trouble is with tablets? They are portable. They are so portable that it is difficult just to relax with them. Instead of sitting on a couch with your knees up to prop up your tablet, you could be doing what this person is doing in the picture. See how the tablet is mounted on a sturdy aluminum frame? If you want to watch your video footage or … [Read more...] about Levo Essential Tablet and eReader Floor Stand
Hands on with Disney Infinity
I can honestly say that I can't say enough about Disney Infinity. If you aren't familiar with Disney Infinity, I am not certain how I can describe it. I'll start by saying that it is a game that is many games, and it uses physical objects to interact with virtual ones. This is very similar to a popular video game series Skylanders which uses action figures that you put … [Read more...] about Hands on with Disney Infinity
