iWALK LinkPod Switch

February 14, 2025 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)

The iWALK brand certainly has given us a whole bunch of charging products, and man, I was most certainly glad to review another one of their products with the LinkPod Switch. After all, who doesn’t need a portable charger from time to time? Heck, I brought this with me tonight just in case I needed it.

The LinkPod Switch is a 5,000 mAh battery, which means it can charge an iPhone (at least the more recent 15/16 versions) to about 85 percent. While I just mentioned the iPhone, I should tell you that the LinkPod Switch is essentially made for it. You see, the LinkPod Switch is very well-named, because you can switch it from a USB-C to the new old-fashioned Apple connector. Yes, sorry to hear that the Apple connector kind of went the way of dinosaur, but I feel bad just saying that. I mean, remember that 40-pin odd job that it replaced?

So yes, as I said in the video, you have a flip (USB-C) and a flop (Apple connector). I am told that the LinkPod Switch can do Two-Way fast charging 15W, but I am not certain how that figure…uh…figures with the Apple Connector. I swear that will be the last time I mention that apparently now antiquated Apple Connector. Oh yes, I am told that this will charge 99 percent of devices, so I guess that will assume that only one percent of all devices are USB micro now. Yeah, there’s a dinosaur connector for you.

Okay, before I stop talking about the flipping connector charging plug, I should say that it has this weird thing covering it. It does cover it all right, and you can snap it on if you need it.

Unfortunately, I kind of wish that this thing had some kind of a stand thing, as were you to just connect it to your device, you can’t just set it down flat. I kind of wish you could just

Just so you know, I have heard that it takes about 1.7 hours to charge this bad boy. I am also told that it is small as a lipstick, but I really have to tell you that I really don’t think it is that small. I realize that I’m not the primary audience for lipstick, but the lipsticks that I have seen were much smaller than this. It is 3.53 ounces, and that is a stat that I can believe.

What’s hard to believe, but I’m going to take as fact, is that there is nine levels of safety protection. These apparently include overcharge protection, short circuit protection, and then protection against overcurrent, overvoltage, and temperature protection.

If you want it, you should be able to get it on the iWALK site for about $39.99.

Facts About The Company

Okay, I’m going to be honest. I found several companies with the moniker of iWALK, and I believe that this company is devoted to accessories.

What Does This Company Make?

Lots of Smart accessories, and I am hoping that we will get to know them more. In fact, we might review something in the near future. I certainly said that last time, and did receive something so…I’m wondering if this will be just be a regular thing.

Just the Specs, Man

If you’re the type that needs this info, this section is for you!

I don’t have a spec sheet for this, so, I’ve got nothing to say.

Okay, Get To The Unboxing Already!

Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?

Yes, I believe there are quite a lot of good alternatives, and it has nothing to do with this product not quite working for me. In fact, you might be able to get this product for a lower price, such as this one from Mophie. Then there was the ESR Halolock, and then this one from AUKEY, a company that I want to review soon once again. There is also this one called Vissles-W, and I totally don’t remember it. I do remember the one from Scosche, so we’ll have to look at that company soon once again.

Whoa, hang on a second, I just realized that I just talked about the chargers that really work well for the desk. Let’s just try a mobile charger. Oh yes, there is one from iWALK that works just well. Oh of course, we did a review of several portable ones for the CASETiFy. I also did this one from Scosche. Oh, we’re also doing one from ROMOSS here soon.

Yeah, there really is no shortage of portable chargers, so I’m sure will be reviewing them in the future.
