iWALK StandMe Auto 3-in-1 Charger with…Auto-Rotation?

February 3, 2025 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)

If you notice the question mark in the title, then I’m going to have to tell you…the answer is no. It isn’t often that I review a product that doesn’t work, but occasionally, I will get one that doesn’t quite work. When that happens, I usually don’t just assume that every product doesn’t not work like this, but I feel a need to evaluate it for what it is.

You can see in the video the problems that I had with this product, but what you don’t see is my genuine frustration. As someone who is on the autism spectrum, the one thing I can’t stand is when a product works, then stops working, then just starts working again. Don’t get me wrong, it is very frustrating when something breaks down, but generally, if something breaks down, it stays that way. For me, I can’t stand when a device just doesn’t work, and then just…I don’t know, fixes itself? If you are trying to work with products that are reliable, you can’t depend on it. Worse yet, is when you try and get it fixed, and the mechanic says: “I don’t see what’s wrong with it”.

Of course, I support this product in principle. After all, for most iPhone users, they usually have the AirPods and Apple Watch, so why not have a device that can charge them all at once? All you need to do is plug it into the wall or a USB port, and you can link your iPhone at the top for charging thanks to the MagSafe capability. You can then open up the top and charge your Airpods, and there is this cool slide-out port for the Apple Watch.

At first, I thought it was called the StandBy Auto (Not Stand By Me Auto), because I assumed the “auto” meant “something for the car”. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve reviewed a 3-in-1 charger made for the car. No, it is called the StandBy Auto because it can auto rotate.

Well, kinda. Ideally, it is supposed to work by tapping a certain spot on this device, and the magnetically locked smartphone switches from portrait to landscape mode. That is, it is supposed to rotate, but it doesn’t always do that.

For a demonstration, or lack thereof, I just recommend the video below that you can see below. If you think you can hack it, head on over to Amazon and pay $69.99 for it.

Facts About The Company

Okay, I’m going to be honest. I found several companies with the moniker of iWALK, and I believe that this company is devoted to accessories.

What Does This Company Make?

Lots of Smart accessories, and I am hoping that we will get to know them more. In fact, we might review something in the near future.

Just the Specs, Man

If you’re the type that needs this info, this section is for you!

I don’t have a spec sheet for this, so, I’ve got nothing to say.

If there is something on this that I didn’t cover, please let me know.

Okay, Get To The Unboxing Already!

Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?

Yes, I believe there are quite a lot of good alternatives, and it has nothing to do with this product not quite working for me. In fact, you might be able to get this product for a lower price, such as this one from Mophie. Then there was the ESR Halolock, and then this one from AUKEY, a company that I want to review soon once again. There is also this one called Vissles-W, and I totally don’t remember it. I do remember the one from Scosche, so we’ll have to look at that company soon once again.
