Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)
Okay, we have reviewed a Mechlands keyboard before, and now, we got another terrific one that actually is wireless. This is the Vibe 99, and not only is it wireless, it is doubly wireless. Yes, this is MechLands Vibe99 98% Gasket Mounted Hot Swappable Three-Mode Connectivity Mechanical keyboard, and I’m telling you all about it.
First of all, don’t just skip down to the video, because it had some problems at the very beginning, and I had to edit some stuff out. It really was nothing, just how to hook up this thing with a wired connection.
That is just one of the three modes, so let’s talk about the other two connections. Well, you can hook up the Vibe 99 with the wireless dongle, provided you put it in 2.4 Ghz mode, which is when you have to flick a switch to get to. If you want to get it in Bluetooth mode, there is another switch option for that, but you do have to pair it and stuff. There is also a switch on the back for Windows or Mac, not bad.
Just to let you know, the Vibe 99 has an 1800 layout. Do you know what that means? I had to Google it, but it is an alternative full-size layout that has the same number of keys as a full-size keyboard in a slightly more compact arrangement. It has about 100 keys and it saves space.
It also has a 1.06 TFT (Thin Film Transitor) Display, and it this display is something that I didn’t really display in the video. However, it has some cool things like the time, battery status, and the active connection mode. I have heard that you can upload and display GIF animations, and yes, I probably should have demonstrated that.
In the video, I tried to demonstrate that sound of the keys typing, but I didn’t really was able to get a good audio, and that isn’t my mic’s fault. I might have needed a better mic to get the soft touch, but I definitely think it is quite relaxing. In fact, I am typing this article on the Vibe 99 now, and it is lulling me to sleep. I’m hoping it is not because my written content is so boring.
Do you remember when I reviewed the last Mechlands keyboard? I mentioned that it was pretty heavy, and so is this. The Vibe 99 has a great design as well, and is slightly heavy as well. Part of it might be the 4000mAh battery, and I’m not certain how long that will last. Especially with the lights on the keys, which I demonstrated in the video, and they can do quite a lot.
Now, I am told that these are Cherry Profile Double-Shot PBT Keycaps, which means that they resist wear and shine. By the way, this isn’t one of those keyboards where you can remove keys, because we usually review those ones with the clenchers to rip them out. I am told there is a hotswappable PCB, though.
If you want this, you can get it on the Mechlands site for about $82.99.
Facts About The Company
According to the company website, Mechlands is “not just a brand” but a crystallization of dreams and endeavors of engineers with a fervor for not only mechanical keyboards but also the holistic gaming experience. It has this slogan of “passion driven, excellence born”.
What Does This Company Make?
I am on the company website now, and I see that they do a lot of keyboards. Not only that, they are actually related to Epomaker. You know, I really thought that the last product I reviewed was essentially all under one company umbrella.

Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?
I’m going to be looking at gaming keyboards rather than the regular type. For example, the Everest Max Gaming Keyboard. Then there is the Cherry XTRFY K5V2 Gaming Keyboard Compact. Then there is the Drop ALT Mechanical Keyboard, not to mention the ROCCAT Magma Mini. Then there is the Cooler Master CK720 Gaming Keyboard.
