ASOU Solar Wall Light Cam Review

July 4, 2025 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)

All right, we have reviewed an AOSU product before, and I will have to admit that the Solar Wall Light Cam was an easy setup. That was because I had the HomeCortex and the two camera set, which is still working in my home.

So, all I needed to do is just go into the app and set up a new device, and it worked right away. If you don’t believe me, you can just look at the video. I even have some footage there, and yes, there is a little bit of feedback.

The Solar Wall Light Cam Pro is a 2-in-1 surveillance and lighting device, and it is essentially an electric eye (there’s a word that I have not heard in a while) which will cause the light to turn on if someone approaches. I have some footage of that which turned out rather interesting, because it would appear that this has some kind of night-vision. Seriously, without the big spotlight, you would see me. Part of that is the 3K ultra HD and color night vision, to capture a lot of great details.

You will note that it is solar powered, and it has this removable top that you can wired to this thing so you can insure that you will be powered. There is smart fence perimeter alarm system which can detect fences, walls and vehicles for a virtual perimeter. There is also AI detection for people, vehicles, and pets. By the way, it is IP65 weatherproof.

Other features include a two-way system, and there is also an alarm, which I tested out. There is also local storage, with no monthly fees. However, that AOSU app is always wanting me to upgrade. I didn’t subscribe, but I could film what was out in front, which got stored automatically on my phone. It actually took me a while to find the video on my phone, but why is it that this always happens?

Oh, I should talk about the mounting of this. It comes with all the screws and such for something that is easy to mount, and this includes the solar panel.

If you want this, it is available on the AOSU website for about $149.99, but at the time of this writing, it is about $129.99.

Facts About The Company

It would appear that AOSU (I’m not really sure how they want me to pronounce that) is big on security products. Their products also have some AI technology made for the consumer.

What Does This Company Make?

I would say that there are a few products that I would love to review, some camera kits with outdoor cameras, solar cameras, and indoor cameras. They also have video doorbells.

Just the Specs, Man

If you’re the type that needs this info, this section is for you!

I don’t really see any spec sheet for this.

If there is something on this that I didn’t cover, please let me know.

Okay, Get To The Unboxing Already!

Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?

We did some reviews of products like Toucan, which was a really interesting camera. We also reviewed the EVE Outdoor Camera.

We reviewed this particular camera from Eufy with this Smart Floodlight with camera. For a while, we were using the eufyCam E2-Cam kit, and it was watching out on both side of our home for years.
