Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)
Once again, I’m back to reviewing cases and other accessories from UAG (Urban Armor Gear). This company is well known for a lot of accessories, but mostly, the cases, and we had a chance to review three of them for the brand spanking new iPhone 16 Pro Max. Oh, we also reviewed a cool Pathfinder Band for the Apple Watch and the SRGE 3.2 USB-C cable.
Our Review of the UAG Monarch Pro for the iPhone 16 Pro Max
From what I remember of the Monarch Pro in most of UAG’s other series, it feels like it is toted as being the king. After all, it is built with DuPont Kevlar, which means that it is strong.
How strong is it? Well, it has an innovative 5-layer construction with a signature armor frame, polycarbonate shear plate, and impact-resistant rubber surround. All of that means that it can resist a fall of a 25 foot drop.
Let’s talk about some other features, such as its MagSafe compatibility, contoured perimeter edge, oversized tactile buttons, and lanyard anchor points.
Our Review of the Metropolis LT for the iPhone 16 Pro Max
Okay, so let’s talk about the Metropolis LT, which is quite the standard for a city, and quite the standard for a UAG phone case. This particular one has a camo look to it, as you can see here.
While it doesn’t boast of the 5 layer of protection like the Monarch, I will have to say that it has a robust TPU frame and impact-absorbing inner bumper. All of this leads up to 18 feet worth of drop protection, and it has the built-in magnet made for Magsafe. Oh, by the way, the Metropolis LT is made from recycled materials.
So yes, it is quite the case, and I just learn that you can pick a style from DuPont KEVLAR or Micro Hex Camo in Vegan Leather Inlays. I am going to assume that since I’m all camo with the model I have in the video, that this is what I have.
Our Review of the UAG Pathfinder Clear for the iPhone 16 Pro Max
I found it hard to believe that this is the first time that I have talked about the video, especially with the work I put in with the whole “Council of Marks” concept. I wasn’t kidding when I said the Metropolis LT and the Pathfinder have the same stats, both tested for 18 feet of drop, built-in magnet, and made of recycled materials.
I was also not kidding when I said that that center looks like it glows in the dark, but it kinda…doesn’t. Well, you can’t blame a reviewer for trying, even though I didn’t show that on the video.
So, there is this clear pattern that uses the hexagonal pattern, which is what UAG is known for. It also has a raised perimeter screen to surround and shield the display from accidental drops and impacts.
Our Review of the Pathfinder Watch Strap for Apple Watch Ultra 2/Ultra
Well, this is another fine Apple Watch Band that I was able to review within the space of a week, but this one is not related to Star Wars at all. I have to admit that the Pathfinder (no relation to the case that I just talked about), is a very unusual band for the Apple Watch.
After all, it has the advantage of being magnetic, and that means that it literally just stick together. Not only is it terrific at that, but it is fully reversable. So if you want a solid color, you can have that, or you can just flip it and have those different colors on each side.
It’s definitely made from some soft silicone, and I believe this is made for the newest of Apple watches is that the Ultra 2? Yeah, I don’t really know Apple Watch much.
Our Review of the SRGE 3.2 USB-C 240W Power Cable
So, I will have to say that this isn’t the first time I’ve reviewed a product of this type, but reviewing power cables is always interesting. Part of it is because I don’t really know the stats, because it is 20Gbps 240W, which means…something.
Yes, it is good for charging fast and also very quick at data transferring. I think what makes this work is how strong it is, because it is pretty much solid metal. It is braided nylon, with reinforced hybrid metal alloy and an over-molded connector sleeve.
So yes, we’ve got something really good here, and I wonder if I have reviewed it before. I mean, it is version 3.2, so, did I review version 3.0? Yeah, I don’t feel like trying to find out.
Facts About The Company
Imagine that it is 2012, and the world is about to end because of some Mayan calendar thing. In Orange County, the action sports center of the world, the company of Urban Armor Gear (UAG) figured out that the case market really sucked, so they developed their versions of popular products. Okay, maybe really sucked is not the proper word, but perhaps room for improvement could take place. Honestly, besides Otterbox and other major brands, I think UAG really has what it takes to beat one of the biggest players in the case game.
What Does This Company Make?
If you want cases, UAG literally has you covered. Then there is some straps as well. But it is mostly cases for smartphones and tablets, as well as straps for smart watches.
I think I’m just going to put in links for my other UAG reviews for the past year, and the first of them comes from just a week ago:

Just the Specs, Man
If you’re the type that needs this info, this section is for you!
I’m not going to fill out this section, as the specs information just covers the basic measurements.
If there is something on this that I didn’t cover, please let me know.
What Do the Reviews Say?
These products are still pretty new, so I am not seeing many reviews on Amazon. I mentioned that there might be a product flaw that will be hopefully corrected. I believe that UAG has some of the best products out there, so they have my high regards.
Okay, Get To The Unboxing Already!
Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?
Since the iPhone 16 is still really new, I don’t have much to fit here. I suppose you could go with Otterbox, but their cases are pretty up there in price. I would have to say UAG is up there in price, but not to far. I mean, you have to pay for protection. I’ll let you decide where and what direction you want to go with other brands like TORRAS, ZAGG, Smartish, and any of the others I’ve looked at.
I actually have another review coming up of some UAG cases, and it will post soon, if it hasn’t already. I think I will always have cases like this to review as long as we have smartphones and tablets.
