CES 2021: TCL Experience More Press Conference

January 11, 2021 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

In case you haven’t noticed on my last CES 2021 article about Skyworth, I am getting pretty tired of covering CES 2021 Press Conferences. Fortunately, the TCL press conference really showed me how this up-and-coming company could blow away the competition of players like Hisense, LG, and even Samsung.

The presentation began with Tiego Abreu, the head of X-Lab, showing off the company’s pretty impressive track record for just last year alone. Apparently, TCL is one of the great consumer electronics leaders in the world, and the number two growing consumer of televisions in America. Speaking of televisions, the company talked a lot about how they are big into Mini-LED, and a pioneer with their new OD Zero with uniform brightness.

Of course, a lot of companies are making displays, so why should I care? Then the company really gave me a surprise with these cool looking devices that they are working on. One of them is a 6.7-inch AMOLED Rollable display, and it can change a phone’s width from 6.7 to 7.5 inches with the touch of a button. Seriously, it is like the phone’s screen was stretching!

Then they talked about the 17-inch Printed AMOLED Scrolling Display. This was a device that looks straight out of science fiction, where you just unroll like a scroll and interface with it.

Of course, there were some unveilings of products that will be out soon like TCL’s first Google TV in 2021. Users of this Google TV will be able to find some of their favorite content, some of it by voice.

Now, you may not know this, but TCL launched 7 new smartphones in less than a year. They are going to bring out more with the TCL 20 Series, and they will bring 5G in the hands of the consumer at a lower price.

The company is also unveiling a different type of tablet with the TAB10s with a T-Pen. They also have other accessories like the TCL Move Audio S600 Wireless Earbuds and Project Archery, a lighter pair of VR headphones.

Keep your eyes on TCL in 2021!
